I have been using this Dove Conditioner for years now. I have tried other conditioners in between using this one but I have always come back to Dove. I really think that this is one of the best conditioners around so I thought I'd share why on here.

Dove Intensive Care Therapy Conditioner is priced at £1.84 (in Tesco). You can sometimes find it on special offer. They often do two bottles for a certain price so when they do that I like to buy this conditioner and the Dove Intensive Care shampoo at the same time and stock up. For your money you get 200ml of conditioner.

The conditioner comes in a navy blue coloured bottle with it's lid at the bottom. On the back of the packaging it states that the conditioner is for 'dry, rough hair with severe, acccumlated damage.' Sounds pretty extreme but a lot of the time our hair is more dry and damaged than we think it is. It then goes on to say that this conditioner 'contains millions of micro particles that help severe accumulated damage by penetrating into the finest lines and breaks on the hair surface'. Hmm...sounds pretty good!

And yes...the best thing about this conditioner is that it really does work. I get dry hair because I dye it a lighter shade of blonde than my natural colour. I also blowdry it and straighten it most days as well as being a big fan of sunbathing and swimming in the sea. So the result is dry, damaged hair. But as soon as I put this on in the shower I can feel the difference. On application it glides through my hair and just seems to melt into it. When dry it feels glossy and full of life. My hair feels strong, supple and smooth when I use this and it really does take the dryness away. It also helps split-ends from re-forming.

The smell of this conditioner is fabulous and feminine. Dove have recently changed this conditioner slightly and on the bottle you will now find a sticker reading 'new formula advanced serum'. I liked the smell of dove before but now with this serum I adore it! It is sweet and fresh and the lovely smell lingers on your hair for ages. Before the new serum was put in, I found the smell of Dove conditioner to be nice enough but a bit plain. But now it is just gorgeous. In fact, I wouldn't mind a perfume that smells like it! So full marks for the smell of the product.

Ok, so it's not a really cheap conditioner. But it's worth it for the treatment it gives your hair. Plus, you don't really need to use that much at a time because it's quite an intensive treatment, particularly if you use the intensive care shampoo aswell, and using too much on your hair would leave it feeling floppy and greasy with a sticky residue. Moreover, with the new advanced serum I find I now only need to use this conditioner around 3 times a week (I wash my hair about 6 times a week) as it conditions even more thoroughly now. So in many ways this conditioner offers excellent value for money.

The rest of the Dove range is fab too and there is a conditioner for everyone. So if you don't have dry hair or find this one a bit too heavy then there is a normal Dove conditioner. There is also a Pro-Age one, a heat protection one as well as conditioners specifically for dyed hair. All of the Dove range is also good for people with sensitive skin as they are dermatoligically tested with a mild formula.

Overall, I highly recommend this product if your hair is at all dry or damaged. It's a fantastic conditioner that really does the job.
