Advantages: Smells wonderful, works on very dry and damaged hair

Disadvantages: None that I can think of

I have been using Dove products for a number of years, soaps, body lotions, deodorants etc and I have always found them to be reliable and deliver on their promises.

I regularly get my hair coloured and as such look for a shampoo and conditioner that will help put some moisture back into my hair as well as protect my colour and condition but preferable not costing me an arm and a leg.

I have been using the Dove conditioner for highlighted and coloured hair but as I also heat style my hair quite often, it wasn't quite communing up to scratch on the moisturising front and left my hair wanting a little more care, plus I was using a huge amount of the conditioner in the attempt to get the desired effect which wasn't exactly cost effective.

I noticed that my local boots had an offer on for Dove hair products and they were down to half price. I had a look to see if there were any alternatives to my usual buy and spotted this intense formula for dry and damaged hair. As my hair was feeling very dry and damaged and I had been suffering a lot of breakage when styling I thought I'd give this a go, and at £0.95p for a 200ml bottle, this wasn't going to break the bank if it didn't work.

The conditioner comes in a nice dark blue oval shaped bottle with the Dove logo on the front and boasts that it is a new advanced serum formula. It is designed specifically for dry rough hair that has accumulated damage that penetrates deep into the hair and should help to prevent split ends.

The conditioner is a nice thick consistency with a really nice clean and fresh scent that is pretty much the Dove signature scent, soapy and clean which is something I love and the scent seems to linger on your hair which is fab if you get a waft of it every now and again.

I have been using this over the past week and I have really noticed the improvement in the condition of my hair, almost from the first use. It really does help to replenish the lost moisture in your hair right down to the ends but crucially, without it feeling heavy or weighed down and doesn't make my hair feel greasy.

My hair is looking noticeably shinier and healthier and I've noticed that I have less breakage after I've been styling. Another good thing is that you don't need to use a vast amount to get good results, I've just been using the same amount as I normally do and I noticed the difference straight away.

I would definitely recommend this to anyone who has very dry hair or to those who use a lot of heat appliances list straighters that suck the moisture out of your hair.

Summary: Dove to the rescue
