Advantages: Everything, it's brilliant and smell hangs about till you re wash the hair!
Disadvantages: None at all i simply love it!
I do love Dove products as a rule so when I spotted this new Dove shampoo (well it was new to me as I hadn't seen it before!) I simply had to try it out. What sold it to me was being told on the bottle it contains repairing serum. I use serum regularly in my styling routine and find it very beneficial to my dried out ends and frizzy mid section so my feeling on this is maybe this would really be beneficial to my hair as well as all that I usually do to tame it lol!
The Packaging....
As depicted on the review photograph on the top of this page (for flipping once!). The bottle is sort of long and dome shaped, dark but shiny blue with a flip top integrated head to the top of it concealing a small hole. On the front in white and silver writing I'm told it's Dove Intense Care Therapy Shampoo With Repairing Serum for Dry & Damaged Hair. The usual small silver Dove adorns the front too. On the back of the bottle (all in white writing this time) I'm told a bit about the product, a warning is given (don't get it in eyes and what to do if it does other than scream lol), ingredients are listed, size is stated (250ml), the recycle symbol is clearly shown, contact details for Unilver are give (the manufacturers of Dove products) and finally there is a bar-code on there. Nice, simple packaging that is sleek and simple to use!

The Shampoo Itself....
To me this shampoo smells typically Dove. Slightly fruity with a rich creamy, moisturising smell to it, it's lovely. In it's appearance it's white, glossy and has a a slight oil content to it. In the fingers it feels very luxurious and isn't runny as hell or stiff it's just simply a nice consitency.
All you need is a 5p piece sized amount (and that's on my past shoulder length hair). It lathers up very quickly and richly and white and feels so smooth and velvet like during washing the hair. It rinses out simply and it's up to you whether you wish to repeat the above process or not (I always do).
I of course do use the matching conditioner to this but what is surprising with this particular shampoo is that if desired I don't HAVE to use a conditioner if I don't want to. Hair feels glossy, knots and tangles are certainly removed from it without using conditioner. Hair feels fresh and sleek and smells absolutely gorgeous and feels very clean without squeaking. My Mum only uses the shampoo on her short hair and her hair is left feeling soft and looking smooth and trust me I don't call my Mum brillo pad head for no reason usually!
In Conclusion....
Not sure if it 'repairs' problems but I am sure it smooths my hair down giving me glossy hair and is highly cleansing leaving hair not only feeling fresh but I'm convinced that it truly is. Hair is smoothed without the life being drained out of it and me...well I can't stop stroking my own hair after using it! I simply adore it! It's brilliant for every day use and doesn't weight hair and gives life body and bounce in a natural way! It's superb! Do be warned though! Only to be used on dried out and very damaged hair as it is powerful stuff!
I bought my bottle for £2.29 in Boots but do look out for offers such as buy one get one free etc with this brand.
Summary: Pure excellence as usual from Dove!
