When I was in my local Boots earlier this week I spotted Dove pro age thick and full shampoo on offer for £1.26, that's ½ the normal price. I always like a bargain and as I had not tried this particular shampoo before I decided to give it a go.

Dove pro age states that it will prevent build up and leave your hair thick and full. I have fine difficult to manage hair. I wash my hair every day, as when I wake up my hair sticks out at some very interesting angles. Dove pro age comes in a maroon plastic bottle with a lip top lid. I may have been unlucky, but the lid cracked after just a few uses. Otherwise I have no issues about the packaging.

The shampoo itself is thick and white. I had expected the shampoo to smell like Dove soap, but was disappointed. The shampoo has very little scent that I can detect, a bit soapy but nothing special.

I wash my hair in the shower, and found I needed very little shampoo to get a really good lather. I only apply shampoo once .I always condition my hair after washing but didn't use a Dove conditioner although there is one available in this range.

I was impressed with the results after using this shampoo. My hair feels soft and looks clean and shiny. I can't say I have noticed my hair looks any thicker however, but it does have more body.

I paid £1.26 for a 250ml bottle in Boots and I think the offer is still available if you fancy giving this a try!
