I purchased the Dover therapy 2 in 1 shampoo and conditioner last month as it was on offer in Tesco for half price £1.30 at the time and my other shampoo had run out. I used to always use Dove and loved them but over time had swapped and changed brands depending on offers so I knew it would suit my hair.
I prefer using a 2 in 1 wherever i can to save time. My shower time is vastly reduced now with a toddler as you moms will understand so anything that saves time and effort is a bonus for me! I do however find that generally shampoo & conditioner 2 in 1 sometimes do not condition quite as well as separate products. However, I find Dove to be the exception!
The Dove Therapy 2 in 1 comes in a lovely simple white bottle design, which is nice to look at on your shelf and easy to use. The shampoo comes out easily from the flip top lid. The shampoo itself is a silky white colour and feels very luxurious and quite thick. It is a nice silky consistency as well.
You simply apply to wet hair and lather up and rinse. The shampoo and conditioner applies nicely over hair and you do not need much to work up a nice rich lather. It feels lovely on your hair when you lather it up and really feels like the thick lather is cleaning your hair and conditioning it at the same time. When you rinse your hair it comes out easily and quickly and even wet hair feels pampered already. Once I have dried off my hair it feels amazing. My hair is always soft and bouncy after use and even my hairdresser commented on how soft and conditioned my hair felt. The lovely light Dove scent also sticks around on your hair for a good few hours afterwards which is divine!
I would highly recommend this 2 in 1. It's high quality, a good price and both cleanses and conditions extremely well!
In personallly love this 2 in 1. I much prefer to use 2 in 1 as it is quicker and more portable to take to swimming or on holiday. Most people prefer to use the shampoo and conditioner separately because they feel it is more effective. However this Dove Therapy 2 in1 shows that 2 in 1 products are just as good quality and save half the time!
The product has a great smell and has a smooth yet thick, white consistency. The product lathers really well and therefore you do not have to use a lot for a great effect. It does a great job cleansing the hair and I would definitely recommend it. My hair feels softer and smoother after use and on the packaging claims to do my hair good, so I love it!
The product has a great stylish and professional packaging and all at a great cost. Dove 2 in 1 is regularly on sale at asda and other supermarkets for just a pound and when not on offer, just above this ranging from £1-2. Pick up this on your next shopping treat and try it out as it's my secret to soft and sleek hair.
I spend a lot of money on having my hair coloured and I always find when I come out of the hairdressers I usually have a bag of expensive products too! I have run out of my shampoo and my conditioner and I am not going to go and buy more until I am due so it was time to attack my partners products!! He has got the Dove Therapy 2 in 1 Shampoo and Conditioner which he got from our local Savers store and was on a promotion of £1.00. I cannot believe how cheap this is compared to my usual products so I have to admit I didn't expect it to be a very good quality product.
I have now washed my hair with this product 3 times. Where I usually have to wash my hair every day or if I am lucky then every other day with my usual shampoo and conditioner, with this Dove Therapy 2 product I don't need to wash my hair for 3 days. I only use a tiny amount about the size of a ten pence piece and I find this a sufficient amount to wash my hair. Once you start to massage it into your scalp it forms a nice light and fluffy lather. I also found with this product that I only need to shampoo my hair once and not the double shampoo so not only is the product cheap you use less so it lasts longer.
I loved that there was only a hint of smell nothing to overpowering. I would compare the smell to the clean linen smell which I find is nice and fresh. This is good as it means that both men and women can use it. Now for my favourite part which is the texture of my hair after using this product, it felt so smooth and sleek and to look at my hair looked really shiny, healthy and glossy which is a miracle for my hair as I am usually very frizzy.
I will be using this product now in future rather than the hairdressers recommendations and the great thing is it can be used for any hair type so we can all use it in our house hold which saves having endless amounts of bottles around the bath!
We did get a good bargain here but I also think the usual retail price of £2.37 is still very reasonable I don't see how anyone could complain at this price considering the quality of this product.
II love the dove range most of the time. If you walked into my bathroom it is full of dove body washes and dove soap so to have the shampoos and conditioners is nothing strange. Normally I buy the shampoo and conditioner seperately but on this occasion I clicked the wrong button on my on-line shopping order and ended up with this.
I didn't think this would be a problem due to all the other dove products that I had used in the past had been brilliant. I jumped in the shower that night and grabbed for the 2 in 1. At first it seemed great, it smelt nice, it larthered well and it was a thick consistancy so you didn't have to use alot. When washing it out I noticed that my hair felt tangled and still dry and bitty. I decided to do a second wash to see if it would make any difference it didn't.
This cost me £4 and it certainly wasn't worth that. I prefer my shampoo seperate from my conditioner. This wasn't any cheaper than buying the two seperately either.
The design of the bottle is the same as all the rest so it is easy to use. It is a thick product so you do not need to use alot. It does wash the hair and make it smell nice but it does not give your hair therepy. This is not a recommended product for conditioning your hair it seems more of an expensive shampoo. I will not be buying this again in a hurry.
In my official role as Shampoo Finisher Upper in our house, I have been using this Dove Therapy 2 in 1 Shampoo and Conditioner for the last few washes and I have to say that I have been seriously impressed with it.
I think we bought it for our holidays earlier this year and it found its way back from Egypt and was put back in the big wash bowl we keep in the bathroom for all such stuff.
Dove Therapy is a combined shampoo and conditioner - After all, who would want to take 2 bottles into the shower?
I found in using this product that you need relatively little shampoo to make a good rich lather. It's not that kind of wishy washy full of bubbles type lather - it's a full creamy lather that sticks your hair to your head. I left it on for a while then washed it off to find my hair squeaky clean and these were impressive squeaks, the like of which you'd hear from a pig (but my wife had already had her bath and wasn't around) The squeaky sound is traditionally associated with clean well-rinsed hair and it was good to get this from just one application.
Other things I liked about the product were:
* It doesn't have a strong pong and is equally suited to male and female.
* It is suitable for all hair types - I prefer these as everyone in the household can use the same shampoo
* It has a neutral ph and can be used on a frequent basis
It pretty much ticks all the boxes in terms of a shampoo I like using. There are still a few washes left in the 250ml bottle and I would gladly buy this again, were it not for the fact that there are several other part used bottles in the house and I have already banned my wife from buying more until we use them up.
Dove has a great range of products, renowned for their quality and this Dove Therapy 2 in 1 shampoo and conditioner certainly doesn't let the side down. It's made by Unilever and is currently on offer in Tesco and Asda at 2 for £3.00. That's a good deal when the standard price is £2.37 each.
This combined shampoo and conditioner has become something of a favourite of mine in recent weeks, which is ironic considering that I didn't set out to use it regularly. Around six weeks ago, I ran out of my usual shampoo and was at a loss as to what I'd use to wash my all-too-greasy hair for the next day when I spotted this tucked away in the back of the bathroom cupboard. Dove isn't a brand that I usually buy so I can only assume that it was a bottle bought and then discarded by someone else in the house, which didn't inspire me with masses of confidence but beggars can't be choosers, so I duly give it a go.
There is a bit of a smell to it but it's not particularly strong and I can't quite put my finger on exactly what it smells like but it's not unpleasant. There is a serum included in the product, which I'm presuming is what gives it a pearly shimmer when the light hits it.
It's not particularly thick for saying that it's a 2 in 1 product that has to act as both shampoo and conditioner. Because of that, it's easy to work into a lather and I don't find that I need to use too much of it to get a good enough later. Getting it out is a bit more difficult and you need to be extra careful to make sure that you've got rid of every last bit as it seems to leave a fair bit of unsightly white flakes behind for me if I don't get it all out from around the hairline.
I washed and blow dried like normal after I first used it and didn't do much in the way of styling in the morning - just a quick brush through and off I went. To that end, I was surprised when a colleague complimented my hair but it wasn't until I went to the loo later on that I noticed the difference. Instead of being lank and lifeless, my hair looked vibrant and shiny and much better than normal.
This doesn't seem to be a short-lived effect either, despite my roots getting greasy by the next morning. Ordinarily I'd want to wash my hair to get around this as the only real downside of this product is that it's not designed for greasy/oily hair and my hair quickly gets oily again. I've been rectifying that by using Batiste Dry Shampoo though (which I recently reviewed) and so far, things seem ok.
I paid £2.65 for my bottle in Boots as this particular Dove shampoo isn't available in my local Sainsburys for some reason.
VALUE FOR MONEY?
As someone who is used to buying own brand shampoos and conditioners or buying whatever is on offer at the time, I'm not used to paying much more than £2 for individual shampoos and conditioners (£1 each, usually) so £2.65 seems quite expensive to me, even for a combined product. That said, I'm happy to pay that price because I love the results.
