Let me start by saying that these things are the gods of the hair straightening world! I have always had really unruly frizzy hair (no products will tame it, it has a mind of its own). I got my FHI's about 4 years ago now not knowing anything about them at the time, all I knew is they were cheap and had pretty red straightening plates (sad I know!) I got them home and never looked back I love the fact that I can turn the temperature down to 60 degrees if I so wish, however I personally have always had to have them at the hottest they come. For starters you should know that I have the very thick afro hair that has always been hard to straighten. That was until I bought FHI straigtheners. Unlike GHD's, FHI's have a British Standards Agency kite mark meaning they have been tested along British safety laws. They also come with a 3 year guarantee which is always good if something decides to go wrong. I have the wide plate straighteners, and think the world of them. Whenever I straighten my hair it always seems to last for ages, every other day seems to be enough, minimising damage done to my hair. Like a lot of girls, I am addicted to straighteners, using them every day, otherwise my hair would be...... well awful! Fours years ago my friend let me try her ghd straighteners, and I couldn't believe how straight my hair stayed even until the next day. They did however do a lot of damage to my hair despite me using protection spray. As most hair care fanatics know, they cost around the £100 mark.
