The product provides fantastic results, but is far from being "natural"

I should start by telling you a few facts about my hair: it is very very fine; it is wavy; it can easily look fluffy if I don't use product; it can also look lank if I use product that it too heavy. I used to always highlight and straighten my hair which has no doubt done no end of damage, but about 6 months ago I took the plunge - I went to the hairdresser and am now a brunette and the GHDs are now only for special occasions. I have actually found that I prefer a bit of a curl in my hair as it looks more bouncy.
Anyway....back to the product. The background facts about my hair highlight the fact that I really need something that will keep the hairs in their place, but without weighing them down.

      ~~A bit about Frédéric Fekkai~~
Frédéric Fekkai is a French hairdresser from Aix-en-Provence, who now splits his time between France and New York (are we jealous? Yes we are!). Having created a name for himself in hair styling he expanded his business to include a range of hair products. His philosophy centres on creating styles and products which are right for the individual, by emphasising each person's natural qualities. His website has some great tips on selecting a style, using products and maintaining your style at home.

~~How and when to use the product~~
The product has a light, yet creaming consistency. It is pale green in colour - I assume that this is merely aesthetic purposes!
The packaging suggests that you "apply 'pea size' to damp or dry hair". In fact, I usually do both. I apply a small amount (maybe half a pea...or a petit pois!) after towel-drying my hair, which provides a softness and shininess to my hair when it's dry. When my hair is dry (either naturally or blow-dried) I apply another small half-pea sized blob which removes any fluffiness and frizz.
Each tube contains 118ml so it lasts a really long time!

      ~~The results~~
This is a magic product for me - it give my hair a lovely soft and shiny finish without looking greasy. I makes my hair feel healthier and more moisturised which is great for when it's dried out. It results in gentle waves rather than a frizzy, fluffy halo.
The only other product I've used which achieves a more moisturising finish is the "Phyto Daily hair moisturiser" (I will review this separately at some point - it's great for use when conditions are especially harsh)

The product comes in a clear tube so you can easily see how much product you have left. The lid is at the bottom of the tube and the tubes itself is soft plastic so it easy to dispense.
The tube does not seem to be recyclable, but displays the "Green Dot" symbol which indicates that the producer has made a contribution towards the recycling of packaging.

The ingredients are probably the least impressive aspect of this product. I started to type out the list and there were just far too many ingredients with such long complicated names, that I have to admit that I gave up! Suffice it to say that the product contains various chemical ingredients (eg Dimethicone and Butylene Glycol) and other more organic ingredients (eg Water and Olea Europaea (Olive) Fruit Oil).

      ~~Price and where to buy~~
The product is quite expensive. I bought my tube about a year ago from Space NK on the recommendation of the shop assistant. It was around £20 but it seems that it is available more cheaply elsewhere. However, a little really does go a long way so it's well worth the money.

Fantastic product - really smoothes the hair and provides a great shine. The eco creds are the only real let down for me as the packaging does not appear to be recyclable and the product contains quite a range of chemical ingredients.

I have never come across a hair product that gives so much shine. I have platinum hair and a touch of this makes it look so glamorous and healthy. The trick is to usea very small amount especially if your hair is fine. If you use too much you will get build up after 2/3 uses. Smell is subtle and texture is nice and light.
