Advantages: Tames frizz and flyaway ends

Disadvantages: On dry hair it makes my hair look very greasy

My hair seems permanently stuck somewhere between straight and wavy, so I am always on the lookout for a hair product that will give me poker straight hair. I usually have to blow dry my hair to get it reasonably straight (and even then it will invariably still frizz) or use my hair straighteners, but as this is going to cause heat damage on a daily basis, I bought this to try to tame my hair without the need for heat.

***Using It***
This is designed for use on dry hair. The idea is that you apply it to dry hair and it tames flyaway ends and frizz. My hair is moderately oily to start with, so applying cream to the hair was probably always going to be a bit of a recipe for disaster. Not surprisingly, my hair felt a lot greasier after using this. It did tame my frizz, but it left my hair looking like it hadn't been washed for a week - not a good look obviously!

After some dogged experimentation, I found that this actually works best on wet hair for me. I apply a tiny amount to my hair after it has been washed and towel dried and it has a similar effect to blow dry sprays, although obviously it does not have any heat protection qualities. As blow drying seems to encourage my hair to frizz up, this helps to keep it more controllable.

***The Price***
I got my tube from Boots, where it cost just under a fiver for a 100ml tube. It should be available in Superdrug and supermarkets though, probably for less than this. I only got it from Boots as I paid for it using my Advantage Card points.

***Overall Thoughts***
As a means of taming my frizz while blow drying, this works great. However, it is supposed to be used on dry hair, and on this level it did not work for me. Despite taming the frizz, it gave my hair an even oilier texture, which made it look a million times worse. If you have moderately greasy hair like me, this is worth bearing in mind if you are wanting to buy it.

Summary: Good if using on wet hair but not good for oily hair when dry
