Advantages: Smooths frizz and tames split ends

Disadvantages: Does not reduce puffiness and can feel sticky

There are quite a few celebrity hair stylists around now that pop up on different television shows but around twenty years ago only a few hair stylists achieved that fame and among them was John Frieda.

John Frieda -

John Frieda was the son of a man from Poland who opened a barber shop and then went onto built a few successful hair salons in London and this is were John worked part time and learned his trade, he opened his first salon in Mayfair and built up an elite clientle

He launched his first hair care product in the early 1990s and that product was the Frizz ease serum that became a household name, after the success of frizz ease many more products followed including the frizz ease secret agent flawless finishing creme.

Packaging and cost -

Its easy to spot the John Frieda range as they are all designed in a similar way, the secret agent creme comes in a sliver tube with the purple writing on, it has a cap to open it at the bottom and contains 100ml of the product.
It can be purchased in chemists, boots and other department stores and cost approx £4.79 for the 100ml tube.

What is claims to do -

The flawless finishing creme works instantly on dried hair to camouflage imperfections by soothing away dullness, puffiness and frayed and split ends. It immediately restores silk like moisture to quench parched hair.
It replaces natural oils that are lost due to daily styling and heat damage.

How to use it -

This product is used on dry hair, squeeze a small amount about the size of a five piece coin into the palms of your hand and the rub your hands together. first pull through the under layers of your hair starting at the bottom concentrating on the very ends where the hair is driest and then just take your palms and smooth over the top of your hair, you can use a little more if needed to tame any particular sections of your hair.
This product can be re-applied as and when you need it.

The results -

First of all my hair type is very thick and quite dry and has been colored treated, all the the bad things really!, I do also straighten my hair and often find that it is very springy afterwards and looks huge, it just never seems to fall flat.

I have to say that although I love the fizz ease I was a little dubious that this would work and I am afraid to say that it didn't work as well as it says it does.

I found that it was easy to apply, the creme comes out and i thought that it was more of a liquid than a creme and felt very watery although because my hair is dry it soaked it up well. My hair did feel a lot softer and definitely improved the appearance of the ends of my hair and I did also notice that it made my hair appear to have more shine. I also thought that it had a very subtle scent which was nice and I do like the fact that it contains a sunscreen.
However on the downside it did not reduce the puffiness of my hair and didn't make it fall any flatter, when i touched my hair it also felt quite sticky and I didn't like the feel of it at all.

My conclusion -

If you want a product that will smooth any frizz and give you shine and protection that this product would work for you, if however its the claim of reduce puffiness that attracts you then you may be disappointed.

The secret agent flawless finishing creme is one of the step 5 range which also includes, shape and hold hairspray, secret agent, moisture barrier, and serum finishing spray.

Summary: Not all it claims to be
