Advantages: Smooths frizz, Leaves hair softer and silkier, Lasts ages.

Disadvantages: Very easy to use too much.

The John Frieda products seem to be my haircare products of choice lately. They have a huge selection to choose from for whichever hair type, colour and style you have, are easy to find and within a decent price range. Although I have been trying out a lot more of his items recently, the original formula of "Frizz Ease" has been my favourite for years and years.

This product is a worldwide favourite and constantly wins consumer based panels in magazines such as 'In Style' and 'Cosmopolitan' which says something for itself in my opinion.
This 'outstanding formula is infused with silk proteins' to deliver a layer of 'crystal clear gloss' for amazing, shiny and frizz free results. It promises to give you smooth, glossy and polished hair.
It can be used for both straight and curly styles, with or without hairdryers and straighteners etc.
It is available in three sizes: 5ml, 25ml and 50ml. It has a shelf life of 36 months so I usually purchase the 50ml bottle for £5.95 as it works out cheaper and I know I will definately use it up within the three years.

It is packaged in a tall, slim, clear tube with the usage information printed on the back. It has a pump on the top which can release as little or as much of the serum as needed.

I apply after shampooing and conditioning on soaking wet hair. The product specifically tells you NOT to towel dry at all before use and to use only a small amount relative to the length of your hair. (My hair is thick and halfway down my back and I only need about a pea sized amount).
I smooth through my hair using the palms of my hands before combing through with a fine toothed comb to be sure it is well distributed. I avoid the roots and concentrate on the lower lengths and ends of my hair where it is mostly heat damaged and dry.

After blow drying and straightening John Friedas "Frizz Ease" leaves my hair much shinier, smoother and of course - frizz free!
It feels more lightweight and tangle free too and I also find it requires a little less straightening than when I forget to use it. My hair keeps its style for longer when I use this too, which is always a bonus!

The only downside I have ever noticed when using this product is that it is incredibly easy to use too much which results in lank, greasy hair that needs to be washed again. You can tell pretty soon after applying if you have used too much as your hair seems to 'stick together' as it runs through your straighteners and it also leaves a 'plastic-y' coating on your hair.

Besides the above though I only have raves for this product! It has served me well for at least 4 years and I've probably only had to repurchase 2 or 3 times in that period (and one was due to me losing a bottle!) so it's incredibly good value too!
Perhaps pick up the 5ml trial size to try out if you're unsure but it's an original and best selling product for a reason :-)

Summary: Will always repurchase!
