Advantages: Sleek hair when straightened.

Disadvantages: See review.

I normally write reviews about things that I really like (and a few about things that really disappoint me) as I just find this easier but this review is a mixed one!

I have tried John Frieda frizz ease serum a few times now and Im just not sure about it. I think it's good if you use precisely the right amount to suit your hair, too little and you see no benefits and too much and your hair needs to be rewashed as its so geasy!

When I use this product on wet hair and then straighten it, it works well (as long as I apply the right amount!) and my hair is sleek and shiny and much easier to straighten. However, when I use it on my hair wet and then let it dry naturally I can't really see that it's done anything! Its a serum so its quite greasy to the touch and it's supposed to define curls and reduce frizz, my hair does look a little less frizzy, but I don't have defined curls or waves at all.

It's not cheap either, its around £5.70 at boots which I think is alot and I don't really think its worth the money. I have used better serums that aren't branded, so are cheaper (I think you're just paying for the name) and perform better.

All in all, I think this is good if you want to straighten your hair as long as your sparing when applying it to your hair but I wouldn't bother using it on wavy hair as it just doesn't do much and can make hair look greasy. There are cheaper and better alternatives out there!

Summary: Better alternatives out there.
