Advantages: does help frizz, not visible in my hair, doesn't leave my hair greasy

Disadvantages: it does get used quite quickly if you wash your hair a lot, and effects do wear of over time

I have long thick hair, which is also rather naturally wavy and prone to Frizz. No matter what I do to treat my hair I seem to get those flyaway bits round my hairline which makes me feel I look a bit messy.

One item that I do find helps me stop this is John Frieda's Frizz Ease Serum. This is a fairly low budget option, costing £6.29 currently in Boots for a 50ml bottle of it, with the added bonus it is currently on offer at 3 products from the range for a tenner. I'd pay the higher price for this one myself, as it definitely helps add a bit of weight to my hair and stop it being so fly away.

The product is a thick clear serum presented in a pump dispenser bottle. The pump is a bit sophisticated as it has a twist mechanism to open and shut it. This is great for me, as my little helpers quite often get it in their head to give my beauty products a bit of a squeeze or a poke, leaving me cross when lots of expensive product is wasted.

One pump is not really enough to cover all of the hair I want to treat, so I tend to use 4 or 5 pumps of serum when I use this. It is meant to be added to your hear after you wash it when it is slightly damp. I recommend towel drying it a bit first before adding this as you are not meant to towel dry it after putting it on. The serum is quite thick and a bit tacky to the touch. I find it is odourless, and when I put it on my hair it does not look even more wet, and does not look greasy. I smooth this from my hair line towards the ends of my hair using my fingers, which I then definitely need to wash after. I do find the results of using this are apparent for a couple of days, but then I find that I want to wash my hair a bit sooner than I would have done without using this.

Overall, this is a product that does work quite well for a while. I have given up hope a bit of anything permanently solving my frizz problems. The weather we have here this summer is certainly not helping me, but at least I look slightly sleeker thanks to this product.

Summary: I don't mind buying this one as I know it helps.
