Advantages: Makes hair silky and glossy

Disadvantages: Doesn't improve overall quality of hair

Since I do have brittle and frizzy hair I am always on the lookout for new products to test and try. The moment I read a few compliments about a particular product from a hair stylist, I immediately go out and purchase that product. I heard that a hair stylist swears by John Frieda's frizz ease hair serum and I bought it from boots for 5 pounds and 99 pence. Not too cheap but a lot less that the other high end products that are recommended by celebrity hair stylists.
I was feeling bitter sweet towards my purchase as I've tried many other hair serums like this and they were just ok, not the best (other than Moroccan oil). I've now been using this product on and off since the winter season began and although I haven't noticed a change in the texture and quality of my hair ultimately, I definitely think it works for me in the sense that it completely smoothes out my hair and gets rid of frizz when I apply it, until I wash it again.
I pump two or three squirts out into my hands and rub it in the ends of my damp hair. It tames the frizz, gives it a very healthy shine and leaves it feeling a lot smoother. I feel a little better knowing that my hair is coated with a protective layer which protects it from external damage. When I apply this hair serum my hair definitely feels nourished, healthier and quite silky. It also makes my hair much more manageable and easier to comb through or brush.
It comes in a small pump spray bottle with clear gel inside. The consistency of the gel is a little runny which helps it smooth onto the hair evenly. It doesn't leave my hair feeling oily at all which is great and the fact that it is quite lightweight is also a bonus. It doesn't feel heavy on my hair or weigh it down like some others do.
Over all I am happy, not over the moon, just happy with my purchase and until I can find a better and affordable option, I will continue using this. I am just looking for something that will improve the quality of my hair inside out not just coat the outer layer like this hair serum. Until I find a miracle product, this is one of my go to's.

Summary: A good product to tame your frizz
