Advantages: makes hair super shiny, improves condition, not just for problem hair, they make normal hair even better!
Disadvantages: packaging a bit boring, very expensive if you buy the whole range
I must admit that it took me a while to try this product, since for some reason the advertising and packaging had always led me to believe that it was only for people with REALLY problematic hair. I have very curly hair, which due to excessive colouring and blow-drying straight and use of straighteners, has slighly dry ends. I am obsessed with straightening my hair, as even though the curls are not frizzy and some would be envious of them, they just don't suit the shape of my face and my hair is not long enough.
After blow-drying it straight every day, I find that in humid weather it sometimes tries to revert to it's natural shape and I always found this slightly annoying. I hate using products that make my hair feel sticky like hairspray and wax, as I like to run my fingers through it constantly. First I tried John Freida 'Ready to Wear' and it was fantastic, converted me to serum completely. I thought that I would give this one a go as well although I had apprehensions that since it gives the impression of being 'stronger' that it would make my hair feel a bit greasy. This is not true at all, it is a miracle product, if I use it then my hair stays straight and silky all day, sometimes even for more than one day. Even if it rains I only get slight waves rather than the corkscrew ringlets I would be stuck with otherwise. It also stops my hair from getting knotty like it used to, thus eliminating the need to brush huge clumps out constantly.
I am now addicted to it and have to buy a new bottle when the other one has plently left as the idea of going without is unthinkable. the days of my heart sinking at every slight shower of rain are over. I have now bought quite a number of products from the range including shampoo, conditioner and 'wind down relaxing creme', and certainly endorse the claim on the packaging that using more products from the range helps even though I am usually sceptical of such claims. My hair has been transformed from average,
having the odd good hair day and odd bad hair day (depending on rain and humidity etc) to every day being a good hair day.
The amount of money I spend on these products, considering i use a vast quantity every day, would worry me if I stopped to think about it. Their only disadvantage is the price. However, i have as yet been unable to find a cheaper substitute with anything like the same effect. they are perhaps the only products that I buy that are not 'budget' in some way (although superdrug often do 3 for 2 deals) but for the confidence that they have given me they are worth every penny!
