Advantages: Delicious scent, lovely for your hair

Disadvantages: Not quite as good as using the Fructis shampoo and conditioner separately

Garnier Fructis is one of my favourite hair care brands, and I decided to try its Fortifying Shampoo and Conditioner 2 in 1, for times when I didn't have enough time to both shampoo and condition my hair. Here are my views on it:

PRICE:
On a really brilliant offer in my super market, this product was sold for the bargain price of £1.50; a very good price as it costs much more to buy from your local drug store for example Superdrug and Boots. Do remember that this price is all inclusive, as I like to say, because when you have used this product, you need not purchase a separate conditioner, so all in all I believe this is a really good value product.

FUNCTIONALITY:
This 2 in one shampoo and conditioner was useful and easy to use; because I was unsure whether to apply on the roots of my hair like a shampoo or on the tips like conditioner... I did both. It worked quite sufficiently- my hair felt fresher and much more nourished, it was easier to brush through and I noticed that my hair was satisfyingly soft and volumised. However, I would like to point out that, though it is visibly better than other 2 for 1 shampoo and conditioner products I had previously tried, I got far better results just using Garnier Fructis' shampoo separately, and then using its conditioner afterwards. The results I got whilst using this is by no means bad- in fact it is noticeably good- but if you want really nice hair then I would recommend using the two separate products.

SMELL AND FEEL:
This shampoo has a delicious, refreshing fruity smell (coming, I am guessing, from the 'Fructis' part of the product name and the grapefruit extractt) that is neither sickening nor too strong- the perfect combination. The pleasant smell lingers in your hair throughout the day, though not too noticeably like perfume. The feel of this 2 in one is a kind of creamy gel that feels pleasant against both my finger and my scalp.

IN CONCLUSION:
This is a lovely product, well worth using especially if you come across a good offer! As stated above, it is not quite as effective as using Garnier Fructis' shampoo and conditioner combined (though the overall effect is still very commendable) but you have to remember the time this saves you when you're in a rush- you can have lovely hair in half the time. 4.5 stars if I could, but 4 for the time being.

Summary: Lovely shampoo, would recommend it
