Advantages: Lovely smell

Disadvantages: The lid

The advertisement on the television many months ago tempted me into trying this shampoo, the way it portrayed fresh smelling juicy fruits being squeezed into the slender apple green bottle.

On my next shopping trip I decided to put the advert to the test and see whether the smell was of fresh juicy fruits and most importantly how it left my hair feeling.

As I previously mentioned the bottle is a slender apple green in colour and quite eye catching on the supermarket shelves. Once purchased I attempted to flip open the bottle by using the small ball shaped top. This is a nightmare for all people with long nails, absolutely guaranteed to break a nail everytime. The silly little ball needs a long nail to slide underneath it and flip it up with quite a lot of pressure to be used resulting in once snapped finger nail. This to me is a major downfall for the design and the manufacturers should really consider easier access to its contents.

After several broken nails I get my first smell of the fruity flavour rising from the bottle. After several inhalations I smell apples, bananas, peaches, plums, apricots and a woody sensation. Okay I am being a bit silly now but the aroma is mainly of fresh green apple and an after smell of bubble gum.

It’s a pearly white colour and the consistency is quite thin and not over the top like some shampoo’s that are so thick that after a couple of hair washes you have to beat the shampoo out of the bottle.

This is what the manufacturers say about it:-

A combination of innovative ingredients naturally present in fruit, that gives hair strength and shine. Contains fruit acids, vitamins B3, B6, Fructose and Glucose.

It nourishes the hair from the roots and works inside the hair fibre to strengthen it and also smoothes the hair right to the tip.

Now the ultimate test:- How does it leave your hair feeling?

Not bad considering I only used the
size of a fifty pence piece, but then I do have quite short hair. It left my hair feeling squeaky clean and soft.

Also past stringent tests on smell as I made people sniff my hair at regular intervals at work and again at home and it still smelt of those fresh juicy green apples. I know by now you must be thinking what a sad individual I am and yes you would be right in thinking this!

The price is pretty reasonable as well and matched other well-named brands stocked by supermarkets.

So there it is my recommendation for a good priced and nice smelling shampoo, that does the job it is supposed to do, but please Laboratoires Garnier CHANGE THE BOTTLE TOP!!
