Advantages: nice smell

Disadvantages: doesn't really work

Good lord! People do buy this in their droves, yet I fail to see what all the fuss is about. The stuff really is not as good as people think! There are a range of Fructis shampoos on the market, designed for different hair types. I have quite fine hair and I am always searching for shampoos to plump up my volume and keep it in good condition, as well as keeping the colour in check.

What does this do then?

The shampoo is supposed to be good for people with fragile hair, the shampoo should give the hair more strength and vitality and more body. Good news so far!

The packagaing:

The infamous green bottles are a draw, they look environmentally friendly and are dead easy to spot on the shelves. The plastic bottle comes with a lovely lid, that you pop open with ease.

The smell:

This is the highpoint, there shampoo has a wonderful fruity smell, which is zesty and fresh and smells mmm of lemons, pears, apples, it seems so wild and fruity that you want to sniff it for ages! Anyway after the sniffing you need to get on and apply it!

Applying:

A creamy liquid comes out, white in colour and of pleasing consistency. It lathers very well and it was great working it through the hair. Rinsing proved no problem, using cool water to get the burst of shine I like.

Results:

Sorry! Not impressed! Despite the lovely smell, after the blow-dry I was left less than amused. The hair had been cleaned, yes, but there was no more strength than before and it actually felt rather lacking in life. It smelt good and felt fresh, but I found styling difficult and it did not seem to have given it much in the way of shine.

Verdict:

For more volume, I have had more success with the V05 range and moreso with Aussie. These might smell alright and be cheap at under £2 a bottle, but the power of the fruit doesn't work for me!

Summary: hmmm
