Advantages: Nice smell, Cleans hair really well

Disadvantages: Stings if you get any in your eyes

There are many different types of shampoos available in shops these days, that can also cater for whatever 'type' of hair you have e.g. dry, coloured, greasy, etc. One type of shampoo that can be used by everyone (or if you have 'normal' hair type) is Fructis Shampoo for Normal hair, which you may also have seen advertised a lot on T.V fairly recently!

There are a range of Fructis products, not just shampoos, that are made by Laboratoire Garnier, who are well known for producing a range of shampoos and other toiletries, such as shower gels. The shampoo comes in a very distinctive bright green bottle, with 'Fructis' written on the front in white lettering. This is the same for all the other 'Fructis' products, they also come in bright green bottles or tubs too.

On the front of the bottle it tells you what type of shampoo it is, and in this case, it also has a small blue circle/sphere on the front, to also identify it from the other types of Fructis shampoo, which also have different coloured circles, again depending on the type.

The shampoo inside is a pearly cream/white colour, and has a very unusual, fruity kind of smell, unlike most other shampoos I have tried. It is also made from active fruit concentrates, which as well as helping to clean your hair, also probably add to the shampoo's smell.

As well as the usual ingredients of water and other chemicals that you find in shampoos, it also contains other ingredients such as fruit acids, vitamins B3 and B6, fructose and glucose; these are also used to strengthen and give extra shine to your hair. It tells you on the bottle that Fructis shampoo nourishes your hair, leaving it feeling stronger with more body.

After squeezing some of the shampoo out of the bottle into my hand, and then massaging it into my hair, I find that ther
e is quite a lot of lather even for a fairly small amount, so I tend not to use too much. The shampoo is also easy to rinse off, but be careful not to get any into your eyes, as it can sting a lot! If it does, rinse it out with plenty of water, as it tells you on the bottle. Also, I have found that there is enough in a 250ml-sized bottle for about 15 or so washes.

After using the Fructis Normal shampoo, I find that my hair is a lot cleaner and shinier than before, and it feels softer and thicker - I was very impressed with the results. On the back of the bottle, there are several claims that after just 5 washes, your hair will feel smoother, and after about 10 washes, your hair will be twice as resistant to everyday wear and tear.

After washing it several times already, I can definitely say my hair feels smoother. There are also some diagrams on the back of the bottle, to show you exactly how the Fructis shampoo is meant to work in cleaning your hair, and how much better it cleans hair after washing.

The shampoo may not exactly be particularly cheap - a 250ml bottle costs around £1.99. Slightly more expensive than other types of shampoos available, such as supermarket's own brands, but I think that Fructis shampoo is worth the price. After using lots of different shampoos over the years, I have to say that Fructis Shampoo for normal hair is definitely one of the best I have tried.

Overall, I would highly recommend this type of shampoo by Fructis if you have not tried it before, as I found that it cleaned my hair very well. Like I mentioned above, if you have a specific hair type (e.g. greasy, dry, etc), then you might want to try another of Fructis' range of shampoos instead. If not, or you just use a 'normal' shampoo like this one, then give this one by Fructis a try - it definite
ly gets the thumbs up from me.

I love the smell of Fructis but it doesn't really do much for my hair, apart from the deep conditioning masks which are excellent.

This one works better than any other shampoo on my hair.
