I really like the Fructis range of products - they always seem to smell wonderful - fruity and fresh - and they also the smell seems to last really well.
I thought I would buy this product for my daughter - she has very curly hair and sometimes after blow drying her hair it does get a lit unmanageable and a bit frizzy. We tried this as it suggested it would be good for calming down unruly locks.
The bottle is quite odd - it is a pump action spray but the liquid looks a bit gel like so I wasn't too sure how it would come out. I sprayed a little on to the hair and then combed it through - it didn't leave any noticeable sticcky residue and just seemed to disappear into the hair.
After blow drying the hair my daughter straigten her hair as usual. I don't think that the spray made this any easier than previously - or any worse. Her hair didn't look any shinier or less shiny. I think overall there was no effect at all.
We tried again letting th e hair dry naturally but once again the effect was negligible. I think this product will end up staying on the shelf until I have aclear out and then it'll end up in the bin.
I saw this product at Boots and it was part of the Fructis styling range. I was already a big fan of their shampoo so knew I liked the fruity scent.
This product is a styling water that comes in a see through green bottle with a spray nozzle. The actual styling product is just transparent like water and smells nice just like the other Fructis products. It has a nice light fruity scent. The texture of this product feels light and not sticky (unlike some other styling products), so it won't clump the hair together or make it oily or heavy looking. That's good because I hate getting flat or oily looking hair and I've had this problem with other products before.
So I tried this styling water after washing and blow-drying my hair. I sprayed some in and combed it through with my hairbrush. It made the hair slightly damp again so I just waited for it to air dry.
I didn't actually notice any significant difference and it hasn't really made my hair any sleeker looking, if anything, it's gone slightly wavy due to it becoming damp again and this wasn't the look I was going for.
Perhaps my hair isn't suitable for this product as it is quite thick and frizzy. I tried putting the product in again the day after, I washed it again and let it air dry this time. I put the styling water in and then blow-dried it but still not the result I'm looking for... my hair was sticking to the brush and difficult to comb through. I just didn't get on with this.
