      Advantages

      Disadvantages

      An excellent hair product used to style medium length hair to perfection

      I have been using Fudge Fat Hed for a while now and it does an excellent job at giving longer hair some style, volume, texture and a satin finish. It comes in a newly designed grey tub with a very modern design to it. It's description reads 'firm hold volumising texture paste', which is 5 words describing exactly what it is and what it does.

      Men who have rather long hair as well as women with short hair can use it, but it's not meant for very short hairstyles or very long ones. It gives you some control over your hair so you can style its' direction and look. It also gives it a nice texture as the paste is quite dry so you can keep quite a dry look whilst pulling off a great hairstyle. A 100g tub will cost you around £9.95, which isn't cheap at all but only a small amount needs to be used as it's strong stuff so it will last a long time.

      The fudge fat hed has a delicious smell, which resembles sweet fudge. The tub is very easy to open and handle and there is a large opening so you can easily scoop out a bit of the paste. You should rub it between your hands and roughly apply it to your hand, shaping your hair and styling it how you want. It does an excellent job - much better than all other hair gels, waxes and creams so I'd highly recommend it. It does come at a price but it's well-worth the buy.

        Advantages

        Disadvantages

        too expensive and not competitive with other products

        I really like fudge products and have used them for some time now and when the place i use had run out of my favored 'hair shaper' i thought i would have a go with the 'fat head' product. I have been left feeling a little let down by it sadly. The product does not match up to the normal high standards of the products this brand produces. After a couple of hours of having it in your hair it seems to go really greasy and does not retain the hold and shape that you would like from something that you are spending around £15 on just to stick in your hair. When spending that sort of money you want something really class but if that is what you are looking for then don't buy this. There are better products out on the market and i cannot see how anyone would want to use this dodgy product.

          Advantages

          Disadvantages

          The very best hair product to style any hair how you like it with a lovely creamy fudge aroma too

          This is the best product out there to shape any hair to any style. It works really well due to the thick texture of the cream itself. It is best for use with men´s shorter hair rather than women´s. It has an adorable smell of creamy fudge, which is to die for.

          It comes in a gorgeous little tub of 100ml weight. The 100ml tub costs me just under 11 pounds from the internet. It is actually made in Australia, so has to be shipped from there. It is most effective when applied to dry hair. I like to wash my hair and comb it straight whilst drying it before applying this.

          You only need a small amount to do the job as it is so powerful in the way it shapes your hair. It is easy to play with to obtain the hairstyle you desire. The smell is lovely and can be smelt the whole day from those nearby. The tub has some ridges on and a certain shape that makes it easy to hold or quickly grab for those rushed mornings. It is very attractive and does a superb job. I can style my hair how I like, even when it´s quite long and the hairstyle will hold the whole day.

          If you have thick hair or even curly hair, then this is the stuff for you! The down side is that it is so expensive, but this does not lower the rating for me. I think it is fair to pay the money for the excellent product you are getting. It really does a great job and works very well on my hair so I am pleased with it. If you have troublesome hair, then try this out and see if it works on you!

          Advantages

          Disadvantages

          This is the number one hair styling product on the market.

          There comes a stage in everyone's life where you get really frustrated over your hair, whether it is due to its curliness, thickness or something of a different matter. Well, the same thing happened to me, and I just found the perfect solution - Fudge, not the food, but the hair shaper... Fat Hed style!! This is by far the best hair product on the Market. It comes at a hefty price, but wow, it really works wonders. The smell is adorable too, attracting the girls your way! It can be used with longer hair for you ladies out there too! It is a great shaper and can produce sleek effects. Fudge originated from Australia, and they are made there too, perhaps what boosts the price up some more.

          The Look - {10/10}
          ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
          It comes in a really modern looking, handy tub. The base is grey, and it has a bright orange lid, so you can't miss it in the shops! Mind you, it is rather hard to buy in shops; you're better off going online. The Fudge logo is situated on the lid, which easily unscrews quickly, when you are in a rush in the morning. The base has ridges on it, which gives it good grip so you can use it with ease. On the front side of the tub, you will find the name of the product, so you know what you're buying. I love the look of the tub, the colours go really well and it looks really cool. The shaper itself is best described as a cream. It is a thick, luscious cream, with an off-white tint. It has a lovely texture, and this is what makes it so great for shaping your hair. Most hair styling products out there are gels or something else, but the texture of this superb product makes it the best it can be for hair-styling.
          The Smell - {10/10}
          ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

          The gorgeous smell deserves to be described under its own title. When you open the lid, you are hit with the most breathtaking fusion of caramel aroma. a small collection of words to describe the smell of this cream are sweet, intense and lovable. The cream smells good enough to eat; sometimes I just want to dip my finger in and lick it off. It probably does taste quite nice...not like I have actually tried it...YET! But no, it's not a good idea to eat it, as it could be harmful. The smell's intensity is so distinct and strong that you can smell it from a surprising distance. I have received countless comments on the adorable aroma of my hair...let's hope it looks just as good too! When going out, if I apply some of this cream to my hair, it fills up the car with a sweet, lovely fragrance as I am on the way for a fun evening out.

          ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
          Effectiveness - {10/10}
          ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

          Effectively, this product could not be any better in the way that you can shape your hair however you like. It has an extremely strong hold, with a strength factor of 10. It is the strongest hair styling product on the market, and works on all kinds of hair; whether it be curly, straight, long, short, brown or red! After getting over the delightful odour, I unscrew the lid with ease. This hair cream should be applied to dry hair, so after a wash I dry it thoroughly. As I apply this to my hair, I firstly add a small amount to the palm of my hand, then rub my hands together rather hard to build up some heat, and spread it out. I then apply the cream, spreading it all over the hair, which I wish to be styled. Once applied, firmly rub it in for maximum effect. Then, you are able to style your hair to your liking, with no trouble at all! Whether you want it spiky, messy, matted or flared, this product can work wonders for you. I find the best way to achieve my current semi-messy style is to use a towel trick. I use a small face towel to rough up my hair when the cream has been applied. This reduces the wet affect, and fixes it in place by taking away some of the excess cream, leaving your hair styled just how you like it if you like the dry look. This towel trick is ideal if you want a messy or spiky look.

          Once styled, temperature or humidity will have no effect on your hair, so don't worry about that. The style is then retained the whole day from when I first apply it, to when I wash it that night. It may lose it's sharpness in some cases, depending on the hair, but the overall style stays in remarkable condition. It really is the ultimate hair styling product. My hair is pretty long, at around 3 inches in parts. A 100g tub lasts me around one and a half months, which is good going. You only need to apply a small amount to your hands to rub into your hair. If lacking the style you would like, apply a bit more, but not too much because the intense smell may overcome people's senses and bewilder them!

          Availability & Price - {8/10}
          ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
          This is the tricky part. It is difficult to purchase this product and doesn't come cheap. The best place to find Fudge products of any kind is a good hair dresser - not the local cheap barber who cuts your hair for a fiva. I mean the bigger, better hairdressers. Most good hairdressers will have some kind of section with all the Fudge products featured, including this Fudge Fat Hed shaper. You can buy it in just one size of 100g for £10.95. This is more expensive than your average hair gel, but this is not a gel. This is a well-textured cream that provides remarkable strength, volume and control to your hair, allowing you to style it as you wish. As only a small amount is needed, a tub like this could last you up to three months even, depending on how often you use it and the type of hair you have. If you are having trouble finding somewhere to buy it, then browse the internet. You will find a number of sites instantly who stock this product and will sell it for a similar price, or even cheaper if you are a member of their site.
          ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
          Final Verdict - {9.5/10}
          ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
          This is the ultimate hair styling product. I would recommend it to anyone out there, as it works well with all kinds of hair and gives it a lovely texture too. It smells adorable, almost good enough to eat, and it works wonders. If you are having trouble styling your hair and you think this might work, give it a go! I am sure you will have no trouble achieving the style you want. It's a bit pricey, but this shouldn't be over-looked, as you are paying for pure quality.
            Advantages
            Disadvantages
            Seriously strong hold and gorgeous smelling paste......
            My stylist recommended Fudge Fat Hed to me after I complained that my hair grew too quickly and most gels or waxes wouldn’t hold the spikes in style for an entire day without reapplication. Although he could have palmed a number of products off on me at an over-inflated price his recommendation was taken a touch more seriously because he wasn’t trying to sell me any! At that time I walked out of the salon with the thought in mind and within 10 minutes completely forgot about it until I came across a website selling it.
            The price initially back me going backwards and forwards from the checkout screen, a 100g tub cost me £10.95, some 5 times more than the cost of my usual Shockwaves gel but as they say, it was a case of nothing ventured, nothing gained and within a couple of day the little grey pot was sat on the shelf in my bathroom. Originally a product released for the Australian market, Fudge have only really hit the mainstream in the last few years in the United Kingdom and you will be hard pushed to find a salon or hairdresser that stocks the range so I would seriously advise shopping around on the Internet. I am now onto my second tub and after shopping around I found it a touch cheaper at £9.50.
            The product itself can only be described as a paste, as it has neither consistency of a gel or wax and comes in a very unique grey tub with bright orange lid. As far as products like this go I quite like the packaging as the tub is very easy to grip thanks to the ridges in the sides and if I was looking for it in a supermarket or salon wholesalers it would be very easy indeed to spot amongst the other brands.
            I was very keen to give the paste a try and so dutifully went and washed the Shockwaves gel from my hair, dried it and unscrewed the lid to the tub to be greeted with an absolutely delightful sickly sweet smell of caramel, an aroma I adore, so much so I spent 5 minutes with the tub to my nose inhaling deeply and imagining large vats of liquid fudge and caramel in a sweet factory. If I personally had to rate the smell in comparison to other haircare products it would get a 10 for being so original whilst other brands such as Shockwaves, L’Oreal and Brylcreem would score 5 or below as they all just tend to have clean and clinical fragrances. If you are not a big fan of the smell of caramel with faint hints of fudge, this product certainly is not for you.
            After finally deciding it wasn’t right for a 28 year old man to be sat around sniffing a haircare product I scooped the paste out of the tub using two fingers, only removing enough to cover both fingertips and massaged it between my palms before running my hands through my hair and gently working it into each strand. The consistency when removed from the tub is as I say like a paste but as soon as it is rubbed between the palms it seems to take on more of a gel like form making a little really go a long way. Application could not have been easier thanks to the change in consistency and it was simple to get even coverage and my fears that bits of the paste would be stuck to my hair were unfounded. Once it has been worked into dry hair it is just a case of styling and as a note of caution, don’t hang around to start doing this as it dries very quickly. For me, the fact that it completely dries within 4-5 minutes means that I don’t have to wait around to make sure that there has been no movement in the spikes I have styled. As soon as the paste is totally dry my hair is left with a textured feeling and looks remarkably shiny, something I hadn’t expected from a paste. I was expecting it to look similar to how wax leaves my hair looking but was impressed that it has move of a gel effect.
            Once dried my hair felt rock solid and my hair didn’t move an inch, even if I jumped up and down. At that point in time the spikes in my hair were about 1.5 inches long but even with spikes up to 3.5 inches long there is still no movement once the paste has set and this for me is fantastic. I no longer get to work and look in the mirror to find my spikes have blown out of place or have just not set properly. As for longevity again I could not be more pleased. I have an annoying habit for messing with my hair which when using gels results in dry flakes of gel and the style wearing off quickly, a problem I no longer have. A style created at home at 8 in the morning is exactly the same at 8 at night. Fantastic.
            When it comes to removing the paste from hair you will not experience any problems, something I have had issues with in the past with a number of waxes. A good massage of the hair under a warm shower and the paste is washed out completely. I say warm, as I’m sure most readers would be concerned by the fact that rain may wash this out, it doesn’t. It will damage the style and result in the need to restyle but it will set as soon as you are in a dry environment.
            Overall I was a little upset by the price but find that as it lasts for at least 6 months, a period in which I would probably use 3-4 tubes of normal gel it isn’t that expensive and only works out at around £2 more expensive than the brands that I used to use. So, when you take the economics into account, the fact that it smells lovely and performs to such a high standard without leaving you self-conscious of those flakes from dried gel this is a product I would heartily recommend.
            HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
            Thanks for taking the time to read and rate.
