Advantages: straightens really well, fairly cheap, light, easy to use

Disadvantages: might damage hair

My hair is basically a fluffy mass of waves and i have been searching for a decent straightener for what seems like my whole life. When I decided to try a new hairdressers i discovered FRANSEN FUTURAS and was totally amazed at the results! My hair was exceptionaly straight and i was so happy with the results i bought one the next week for fifty five pounds(ok,i later discovered i was ripped off).
Well,i stupidly decided not to use any protection against heat styling and even though the Futuras straightened my hair beautifully they did damage my hair quite severly.I had a lot of breakage and my hair just went lifeless and well, scorched.I admitted defeat and had to have quite a bit chopped off into a layered bob but thankfully,I really liked this style.
My hairdresser told me to use my straightener less because of the damage it did previously and i did cut down for a while but i hated my hair being so fluffy and ended up straightening pretty much every day.But this time I was determind not to really damage it and used a protective straightening balm and an intensive conditioning masque every time i washed my hair.Luckily for me,my hair is now in pretty good condition although i do deem to spend alot of money on expensive styling products to ensure this.
I love my Futuras and would recommend them to anyone who wants a straightener that actually straightens hair properly. They glide through the hair leaving it poker straight and shiny. But there is a risk that they will damage hair if you dont protect against heat styling so i advise lots of heavy duty conditioners and protective styling products!

I'm sorry, I meant to put useful, but my pc went funny and for some reason it put a not useful :(
I thought this was a good review, especially the warning regarding damage done to hair. Most straighteners will cause a lot of split ends, and many people forget to add that when they are writing about them.
Good op, again, sorry about the NU

Hello and welcome to Dooyoo!

Sounds like these straighteners are a bit vicious! Good first op!

Enjoy the site!
