Advantages: leaves hair in good condition, easy to apply

Disadvantages: my hair started to go red

I use this product in the deep frosted brown shade, as I fancied a change from using semi permant colours.

It is easy to put on, you mix the developer together with the colour which comes in a metal tube this is quite easy to get all of the product out of as you can roll down the end to make sure you have squeezed it all out. The box has a press out part which you can use for standing the bottle up with and this makes it easy to mix.

It is easy to apply to dry hair, It rubs in easily and there is enough in a bottle to cover a whole head of hair mine is about 2ins below my shoulders and it is plenty. Is is quite thick so it doesn't drip everywhere and if you pull all your hair on top of your head to stop it going on your shoulders it will stay there.

It comes with plastic gloves these could be better as they are quite big and are thin plastic so don't fit your hand very well however once wet they do stick to you and they also reach quite far up your wrists so you won't get dye everywhere.

It takes around 25 minutes to develop into its full colour, this does seem quite a while as it does have a very strong smell so make sure you do your hair in a well ventilated room.

There is also a sachet of conditioner included in the box this is quite thick and smells nice. It leaves your hair feeling lovely and soft, however there is only enough for one application and with some other brands you get enough for two.

The colour itself has a really shiny finish to it which gets lots of compliments. It is quite a dark colour and if you redye your hair it will get quite a bit darker than the first time you used it so you may want to change your shade if you don't want to go too dark.

The colour lasted about 3 - 4 weeks but then it started to get a red tint to it this hasn't happened with any other dye I have used nor do I have red hair so I did find this quite disappointing as all the other aspects of the product were great. I tried using the dye again thinking it could have been other products doing this to my hair but the same thing happened.

I would recommend trying this product as it may have only been this shade that does this but I don't think I will use it again.
