Advantages: Cheap, Long lasting, Reworkable

Disadvantages: Can become discoloured and unworkable if left out for an extended period.

Thought i'd try my hand at writing a review for a product that I have used for a quite a while now. I'm not going to bore you with my barnets life story, that's not what you're here for, long story short, guy has bad hair, guy buys this product, guy then has great hair. Simple!

This is my favourite out of the range of the Garnier Fructis Style gels and waxes, due to a number a reasons, although I will state that, of course, all opinions are dependant upon the type of hair you have and what you do with it, so remember that!

However, if you have hair that can be a bit of a hassle to handle, and is actually quite thin and 'straw like' (For lack of a better term), then I would definately recommend this. For starters, unlike the 'Manga Head' gel, it's more of a putty, or a non-greasy wax, and so you don't really feel as if you've poured the contents of a soup ladle on your head. As I mentioned, it's not greasy whatsoever, so you can walk around knowing it's not shiny or dripping everywhere, which is always a nice thing. The effect it has is drastically different to some of the range like 'Manga Head' and 'Hard Spikes', in that it doesn't hold your hair firm in a position that isn't re-workable. For example, 'Hard Spikes' would be ideal for punks, whose owners would rarely want to see their hair moved in a different position anyway. But if you like to have a slight amount of movement and change, and the ability to apply more or simply run your hands through it at any time of the day, then this is the product for you. What I will also recommend aswell is that, if you feel it could be blowing around just a TAD too much, then simply apply a little amount of hairspray which will firm it enough to keep shape but not freeze it.

There isn't really much that can be said about the actual dimensions of the product, however, what can be mentioned is that firstly, it's a cheap addition to your bathroom rituals. I'd say, depending upon retailer, you'll be paying around £1.99per tub, which is excellent as the product is long lasting - I haven't bought a new one in a month. Also, the product does smell quite pleasant, and won't make your head reek of industrial strength Bril-Cream. One word of warning however, do not leave the top off of the product. That will be an annoying mistake, as the product hardens up, discolours, starts to smell funky and becomes practically unable to use. Of course this takes a while but if I can manage to do it, so can you.

All in all, a fantastic little product, cheap, cheerful and it certainly works.

Best Wishes
