Advantages: Price, colours available, only 10mins colouring time

Disadvantages: making hair frizzy and damaged

I thought I had to do a review on this as it's a brand new product, which I was very excited about -and no one else has reviewed it yet! I don't know about you girls (and guys?), but I hate colouring my hair at home - but I must as it's cheaper and saves money, and at times like these every little helps!
The thing is; I hate the feeling of sitting on the toilet seat for 40mins, shoulders draped in a towel with a whole lot of cold "goopy gunk" covering my hair, whilst trying not to breathe in the toxic aroma! It's totally a pet hate of mine!

I get really depressed when my greys start to show and I know that it's time to get gunked again.

So, how over the moon was I to find a hair colourant that only takes 10mins, with no ammonia and is permanent!!!! I thought, finally! I bought a box of HerbaShine in Dark Brown. Other colours available are:

Light Blonde
Ash Blonde
Blonde
Dark Blonde
Golden Light Brown
Light Brown
Golden Medium Brown
Medium Brown
Golden Dark Brown
Dark Brown (the colour I chose!)
Golden Mahogany Brown
Copper Mahogany
Red Mahogany
Ice Mahogany Brown
Plum
Brown Black (I almost mistoke this for Dark Brown!! Opps!)

The normal cost is £5.37 but there is an offer at Boots at the moment and it's £3.87.

*The moment of truth*

After applying the colour and waiting 10mins, I washed off the dye and used the small sachet of intensive conditioner which comes with the product, I leave it on for the time set and when it came to wash off the conditioner, my hair felt all matted and wirey! It was horrible!! I came out the shower and there was no way I could do ANYTHING with my hair. I had to step back in the shower and put on a hair conditioning mask I bought from Boots. Only then was my hair actually managable to style.

Once styled my hair felt dry. The colour looked good, but my hair looked so unhealthy. It has been four days since I have coloured my hair and it still feels a little dry and brittle. When I styled my hair it was frizzy, which is odd because I have poker strait european hair (without using stylers).

I feel upset because I feel that it's damaged my hair. Im also annoyed because on the packaging it said "HerbaShine, Garnier's first colourant enriched with bamboo extract, leaves the hair feeling fortified with radiant, amazingly shiny colour". I feel cheated! I normally use Clairols Herbal Essences Dye but it seems to have dissappeared off the shelves!

This is totally one to avoid in my opinion.

Summary: Run a mile from this product girls and boys, it killed my hair :(
