Advantages: Easy to apply with no spillages and covers grey!!!
Disadvantages: A little smelly that lingers the day after application
I purchased the Garnier Colourant (colour specified as light golden Brown) Like most I couldnt be bothered with the whole strand test situation and decided I would go freeflow
garnier provides you with a nutrisse cream (colour of your choosing) along with an applicator bottle of your choice. So basically you mix the colour with the bottle b. so A& B together. Relatively straight forward with a shake it was all mixed up
My hair is well below shoulder length and I was worried there wouldnt be enough to cover my full head of hair. I have to say not only did it cover all my hair when applied it came out in a kind of gel style and also white so you could see where you had applied and also i spent hours styling my hair into fins and punk rocker style mohikans!! Obviously too much time on my hands!!!
So mixing and applying very straighforward...and the claim of no drip I can confirm was totally true I managed to peel potatoes for my evening meal and catch up on the latest edition of Corrie!!! So all worked out well and although I have to say a slight burning sensation entailed it didnt last very long
Whats great is that the cream applied is white so you can see where you have applied and there is plenty to cover your whole head!!
The claim is that it provides the following:
'' Even after several weeks your colour looks fresh radiant and your hair stays nourished for longer''...that I will have to get back onto
What I will say is that not only was it easy to apply but it was a very quick process and easily mangeable even if you dont have someone to do the back for you ...it mixes well and you can massage it into your hair and you get a full even coverage
So anyway....35 minutes later (which I felt it had to have as I was heavily greying despite only being 35!!!) ... I have to say...great coverage...I couldnt spot a single grey hair and it covered really well and only a slight dye kinda smell lingered thereafter
garnier is easy to apply and get results however after years of hair colouring I would say dont always rely on the box to confirm the after colour you will achieve
I had matched my hair to the box and felt I would have a lighter brighter and healthy colour to show for it..but no..alas....as I have been a serial colourer (if there is such a thing) My hair had been bashed around..and coloured to the extreme..it wasnt quite what I had expected.
my hair was dark and very grey but with a mix of colour!!
Now it has made my hair darker ( but not in a moriticia from Adams family kinda way) and I was quite grateful that it actually worked out to a really love rich dark brown colour with slight red undertones
What I will say is...do a strand test!! I didnt and wish I had..however I am pleased with the result and sauntered into work like I had just stepped out of a salon!!
As usual the guys didnt bat an eyelid or notice but the girls did and commented on how full and rich my hair looked...to which the guys replied..yeah it looks alright but it really stinks!!
So overall I have to say I am pleased with the colour and the result...however spillage is a whole other matter...so see my review on Flash !!!!
But until I get mistaken for Angelina Jolie (no chance there then)I would have to say for £4.00 from Asda you cant really go wrong!!!
Summary: A cheap and easy quick fix to change your look
