Covered grey up quite nicely (Garnier Nutrisse)

I finally decided to take the plunge and start dying my own hair - I just can't afford £50.00 every 4 weeks now my grey is growing through so quickly!

I read the instructions which seemed quite self explanatory and easy to understand. Mixing the solution together I was quite surprised how the smell was inoffensive, I was convinced it would be really chemical smelling but it actually wasn't. I found the application part of it quite tricky but I think that was more to do with my long hair than the actual product. The only other complaint I had was the gloves are quite big which makes it a tad fiddly but I suppose they have to fit everyone.

I left the colour on for the required amount of time and tested an area to see if it had taken. So far so good. I rinsed the colour off and put the sachet of conditioner on that had come in the box. This smelt absolutely lovely.

I have to say I was pleasantly surprised by the results. The colour was lovely, I had gone for a dark brown (cocoa) and it was extremely shiny and soft. My hair looked in better condition than when I started (this could have been the conditioner!).

I did find that for about a week after, every time I washed my hair, the water was a dirty brown but the colour definitely covered my grey bits.

Would definitely recommend.

Summary: Definitely would buy again, hair felt in great condition afterwards.
