Advantages: covers hair well
Disadvantages: smells, colour not match box
I normally use Clairol hair dye and tried this a few weeks back as it was on offer. I have found it not as good as expected.
The packaging is fantastic - it has a perforated hole in the box which you can stand the bottle in as you dye in order to minimise mess - a great idea and definatley a selling point.
In the box are gloves, two bottles which you mix together to make the dye and a conditioner. The gloves are thin plastic and are quite short and open at the ends so dye gets on your arms easily unlike the Clairol gloves. The bottles are fine as easy to use and the intructions are clear. The conditioner is a sachet which has a reasonable amount of conditioner in.
The product smells very chemically when you put it on - so much so that i had to open to door and it made my eyes water slightly! However when it was on the consistency was enough that it did not drip and it covered well. The conditioner was not enough for more than one application which was dissapointing as my hair did feel after dying that it may need additional conditioning the next few times i wash it. The colour was not as rich as on the box and darker; take the colours with a pinch of salt.
All in all an ok dye but I will be going back to Clairol!
Summary: Give it a go but unlikely you will continue to use unless on offer.
