Garnier Nutrisse Cream Extra Light Natural Blonde 10
As a bleaching virgin, whilst shopping for a hair colourant/pre-lightener to make my light brown hair go light blonde, Garnier Nutrisse Cream - Extra Light Natural Blonde (10) seemed the ideal option. Stating on the box "no pre-lightener necessary" I was swayed to buying the product, as it would be better for my previously natural hair. It costed me around £4 from Wilkinsons.
On the packaging the picture of the light blonde model, on a bright yellow background made the product catch my eye. Also on the packaging was a guide to which colour your hair would go, depending on its current colour. This showed my hair colour to go a lovely light blonde, so I was reassured this was the product for me.
The instructions were easy to follow, and I followed them word for word to ensure there were no mishaps. (Although admittedly didn't do the patch test, so luckily I wasn't allergic!)
The smell of the product was pleasant and fruity, unlike other hair colourants.
After the allocated time, I rinsed the colourant out of my hair and used the conditioner included in the pack.
To my dismay, once I had looked in the mirror I saw my hair was an orange/ginger colour: nowhere near the colour indicated on the packaging! Although my hair did have a soft, silky feeling, this didn't make up for the colour it had turned out.
Summary: I would only recommend you use this product if you already have very light hair.
