After using the Live Colour Xxl brand for years and never getting the best results from it I decided to go shopping around for a new brand of home hair dye! My mother suggested Id tried Garnier Nutrisse as this is the brand she uses all the time and has never experienced any problems with it, so I thought with that great word of mouth Ive got nothing to lose by trying it!
*WARNING* As with all hair dyes you are advised to do a skin test of the product before you apply the whole bottle on your head! So 48 hours before you are going to dye your hair place a few small dots on the back of your ear or hand and if nothing happens you are fine to use the dye. If an allergic reaction should occur do not proceed to use this hair dye and if the reaction continues seek medical attention!!
Step 1: Mix the hair dye formula with the tube of colour dye and shake very well until you see the colour inside the bottle begin to change.
Step 2: (I usually get someone else to do this but obviously it can be done by yourself!!) Start applying the hairdye to you hair, starting at the roots and working your way down trying to ensure that you cover every hair evenly so your colour looks much better, when you see the finished result. *AND MAKE SURE YOUR WEARING THE GLOVES PROVIDED!! YOU DONT WANT HANDS THE SAME COLOUR AS YOUR HAIR*
Step 3: Leave on the hair for 30 minutes (40 if you have very grey hair or 10 if you are just doing your roots!)
Step 4: Wash off the hair dye using the conditioner provided in the box, keep running water over your hair until the water becomes clear and all the hairdye has gone!
Then you should be left with beautiful, soft and most importantly coloured hair!!
The hair dye can smell quite strongly, so if you do have very sensitive smell then I suggest applying it outside.
Brown (Light Mahogany,Golden Copper Brown,Golden Brown & Deep Reddish Brown)
Blonde (Ash Blonde,Light Honey,Honey Blonde etc)
Bright Red & Black
If you want to see exactly which colours they stock and an idea of what the colour will look like on your hair visit:

My Overall Opinion:
This has definatley become my new hair dye of choice! Unlike other dyes I found I didnt get any marks on my face or a stained scalp which is really a must have for me, no-one likes looking stupid right!!!!?
Not only did it give my hair a full even coverage of colour it also didnt leave my hair feeling dried out and straw like which most hair dyes do, maybe that had something to do with the conditioner Im not sure.
I will defiantley be buying this again as I found it worked really well and left my hair looking fabulous so whats not to like? I highly recommend this to all women who are looking for a cheap way to dye their hair at home with high quality results (and maybe even some men to, who knows!) 10/10 From me!
You can get one of these hair dyes from amazon.co.uk for around £5.49 however you can get this brand of dye from most Chemists and high street stores such as Boots & Superdrug for maybe cheaper than this.
