Advantages: Pleasant smell

Disadvantages: Too drying for a shampoo

Ooh the first person to write a review!

A shame though as I didnt really get on well at all with this shampoo bar. It's pretty much a soap designed for use on the hair and it left my hair feeling very dry and tangly as if I had used a bog standard bar of soap.

Lush claim this bar contains lentils because they are gently cleansing and were used by Indian women in times past to wash their hair leaving it gleaming. That may be so but soap is soap and no matter what you put in it, it will still be drying. I had to use tonnes of conditioner after using this bar which defeated the point really as this bar is meant to be moisturising enough to not need any extras.

I've been put off using shampoo bars now after trying this, mainly because of the drying nature of them but also because of how akward they seem to be, they're sold in blocks of whatever size you like and are wrapped in greaseproof paper, you lather them up like soap to wash your hair with then have to try and find and somewhere to dry it out before using again to ensure it doesnt go soggy and mouldy.

Not one for me I'm afraid though I'm sure they suit some people, perhaps those with greasy or fine hair?

Summary: Lentils not so gentle

Sounds like you would be better off using real lentils rather than this!
