      Advantages

      Disadvantages

      Not for me!

I have several things to moan about when it comes to my hair. I suffer from greasy roots. dry, split ends and my hair has a real natural wave and kink to it which tends to go really, horribly frizzy which is why more often than not I straighten my locks on an almost daily basis!

However I also suffer from limp, lank hair and consider my hair to be very fine and rather fragile indeed and so I like products that offer omph and give my hair some much needed 'body' otherwise my hair can resemble a helmet on my head!

I am a huge fan of my ghd's and wouldn't be without them. However although they are great at styling my hair they do tend to drain the life out of it so I may get straight hair (I've never really been very good at using them to curl my hair lol) they do leave it lacking body and appearing thin and flyaway.

Recently I had my hair cut short and one of the reasons for this drastic action on my below should length hair was to give me thicker in appearance hair that I do possess and my hairdresser added layers and things. On the way of the door she recommended this product to me (can be found in all good hairdressers and of course Google online if interested) and this usually carries a price tag of about £12.99 a bottle and it was on sale and on special offer in her salon for just £7.00 so I snapped it up not only cos it was bargain price wise but also because it is from one of my most trusted brands!

      The Packaging:

Well my bottle of this product is150ml in size and is a bronzy coloured plastic bottle with a pump action dispenser to the top of it with a matching lid and the shape of the bottle from the base is triangle. On the front of the bottle we are told that it is ghd, Fat Hair Lotion 'For all-over volume' and there is a a sort of pattern on the front of the bottle as well. On the back of the bottle other information listed includes being told a bit about the product and how to use it, the ingredients and size is stated, there is lots of information listed in foreign languages too and contact details for GHD LTD are also given. This is a nice looking and high quality in appearance bottle, easy to use and informative as it needs to be.

A Bit About The Product According To The Information Stated On the Bottle:

      Thermodynamics:

When it comes to styling, the heat is always on. ghd's thermadynamics 4-step range has been expertly formulated for use, before, during and after heat-styling. For maximum hair happiness.

Body-building for hair: long-lasting volume, shine and texture definition with medium hold. Contains UVA protection and helps to retain the hair's moisture and elasticity when heat-styling.

      Using It:

Well this is step 3 of a 4 step system so you use this after ghd shampoo and conditioner that also is meant for body building. Course you can use this as a stand alone product or use after any shampoo you want to etc. I dare say you get better results if you use all of ghd 's specialist products, however I must point out that I don't but my hairdresser said it would be just as effective if I put this into my hair styling routine anyway.

So you can use this on damp hair, then blow dry before styling with straighteners or curlers or whatever, or you it on dry hair before then using styling irons over it (which is fine as long as you don't saturate and soak your hair with a wet product!).

This is a white lotion, it is runny but does have body to it and I always gently rub it through my palms first. A little of it goes a long way, it has a soft floral and musky smell to it which is really pleasant and light and I when rubbing it through my palms it does feel a little sticky however it smears over the hair easily, gets absorbed and doesn't make my hair feel like it has product on it at all an then I always tip my hair upside down and blow dry it and then straighten it with my ghds.

Using it is rather easy and the smell is nice though I have to be honest here. This doesn't really work for me at all! I can't complain it does anything adverse to my hair and it does leave it nicely fragrant in a gentle way for a good few hours but as for adding volume and shine to my hair, sadly it doesn't no matter how much effort I try to give this to get it to work!

      Would I buy It Again?:

Of course I wouldn't. I wanted some life in my hair and basically apart from keeping my hair a little frizz freer than usual and smelling clean I don't consider this to give me 'Fat hair'! No good for me and my requirements sadly!
