Advantages: Work really well and hair stays straight
Disadvantages: Quite expensive
I started using hair straighteners many years ago when i was quite young. Since then i have gone through endless amounts of straighteners and even resulted to ironing my hair (not too much of a good idea) as it seemed to be the only thing that managed to keep my hair straight.
I was really fed up of spending hours straightening my hair for it all to go to waste as my hair would start to kink again after around half an hour.
I tried a friends GHD straighteners out and was really impressed my hair really was poker straight and stayed that way without me having to go back over it. I was really impressed and was desperate for a pair but just couldnt afford a pair at the time.
I waited for a few months and kept using friends straighteners which in the end made me decide i HAD to have a pair of these straighteners.
I ordered a pair of the thick straighteners from ebay as they seemed to be around £20 cheaper than any of the shops. The straighteners came within days and i couldnt wait to try them out.
I chose thick plates as i have quite thick hair and when i have used them in the past it i found it much quicker and easier.
I was really impressed with the results. Usually i had to wash my hair, blow dry it and straighten it before going to bed and then getting up early to straighten in again. With m6y new GHD's i could get up without having to straighten my hair the night before and it would only take me no longer than ten minutes to straighten my whole hair. It would also stay straight for the whole day.
It made a change to be able to have straight hair for the whole day.
I have now had my straighteners for a few months now and i have no problems whatsoever they are still working just as well as they were when i bought them.
Overall they are quite expensive but are really worth the money.
Summary: Expensive but worth it
