One of the best and expensive buys! But it's magical- how it transfers your frizzy curly hair into straight shiny hair. I bought these 2 years back and use it weekly twice and still work perfectly. My hair's thick and wavy so definitely needed a salon styler. When I first started styling/ straightening my hair i thought why spend so much on a straightener and bought a Remington one. While getting ready in the mornings it used to take more than an hour to get my hair straightened with this and one day my colleague told me to try the ghd ones. Although i was hesitant at first to spend £110 for a hair straightener but once when i used it, i felt like a star. I never looked back at the other straighteners. It takes approx 30mins to style my long hair. But you must use their heat protection hairspray as the plates get very hot and will damage your hair. For more shine to your styled hair just use shine-spray or rub the shine-liquid. You could buy any make even the supermarkets local brand- doesn't make too much of a difference. They say you can use it as a curler too but until today i couldn't get those beautiful elegant waves from this. It might work with the original style ghds but not the salon styler but it works its magic as a straightener. Buy this if you hair is afro-Asian type.
