Having got a new pair of GHD hair straighteners at christmas, I have become a massive fan of their products too. Some of which are very expensive but they are so good I now buy them on a regular basis.
I have very highlighted hair and i straighten it every day, so a good conditioner is required to maintain healthy looking hair on a daily basis.
Since getting my new straighteners I have started to use the GHD Indulgence which is basically a deep conditioning mask that penetrates your hair deep in to the cuticle leaving it revitalised and healthy looking.
This deep conditioning mask is only applied once a week as it is an intensive treatment, you apply it to wet pre washed hair and comb it through. allow it to penetrate your hair fully for roughly ten minutes before rinsing it out.
You can buy these as a single treatment from certain hairdressers but usually they come in a box of six, so they are designed to be used in between hair appointments.
From hairdressers you are looking at paying over ten pounds a box but I recently bought a box from TK maXX for 4.00 because the box was battered up but the products were fine so I feel I got myself a bargain.
These have to be once of the best conditioning treatments I have tried to date, as my hair is usually very dry and brittle but now it looks amazing.
I highly recommend these for dry hair in need of a moisture boost.
I got this conditioner as a present with some ghd straightners and a few other ghd products...I must admit it was a Christmas present and it actually took me until last night to try the conditioner for the first time. I had been totally put off deep conditioning treatments after the last few I tried had left my long hair feeling unwashed and weighed down.
Anyway after recently starting to get my hair coloured regularly I thought I would finally try the deep conditioner which had been sat in the bathroom for months! To be honest I expected it to do the same to my hair as all the others so I was imagining having to tie my hair back today, but I thought it would be worth it to help my hair recover from all the colour treatments.
The packaging for mine is slightly different to that shown on the picture here, however it is the same product. It is in a 150ml cream coloured pot with the usual gold ghd designs on the lid and sides. Once you've opened the lid there is another plastic lid over the conditioner which can be kept on all the time.
The conditioner looks really nice, it is a creamy gold colour and looks pearly and sparkly. I couldn't believe how soft it felt in my hands, it is really thick but feels so luxurious and soft. It worried me slightly because it is quite thick that it would leave my hair greasy but I tried it anyway.
I washed my hair first and towel dried it a bit then applied the conditioner mainly to the ends of my hair avoiding the roots. The conditioner smells really nice, it's like a fruity kind of smell which made it feel fresher on my hair.
I didn't have to use very much at all to cover my hair as it glided on really easily, covering it quickly. I think in the 150ml pot you could probably get about 6 applications on long hair, maybe around 10 on shorter hair.
When it's on the hair it actually feels quite slimy but I didn't let it put me off. The instructions didn't say how long to leave it on for so I left it about 10 minutes while I was in the shower and then rinsed it out thoroughly.
My hair immediately felt softer than normal even when it was still wet. When I came to dry it I was pleasantly surprised that it didn't leave my hair feeling greasy at all, and it didn't look or feel weighed down. Instead it just felt softer and smelt lovely.
I think next time I will try it over my whole hair including the roots as I don't think it would have any negative effects on my hair, unlike other treatments I have used. .
I'm really glad I tried the deep conditioner and will definitely carry on using it. As it was a present I wasn't aware how much it cost which I've now found out is around £15. This is quite expensive but then I do think it would last a while as you don't have to use a lot each time and I would maybe only use it once a week. Also I think it is worth the extra cost for the fact that it doesn't leave your hair greasy.
I would recommend the product to anyone with hair that may be damaged through sun, heat styling or colouring and particularly to those with longer hair which gets weighed down easily.

The products is packaged and sold as a luxury hair products because that is what it is.
Directions for use:
Using one application from the box, apply to clean, towel dried hair with your palms and work evenly through your hair. Leave for 5-15 minutes, intensifying with heat if desired, and rinse thoroughly.
What to do:
I have been using the GHD Intensive Hair Mask for about 6 months now, I use it weekly as instructed and it always gives my hair amazing condition and strength. It has an extremely nice smell and is simple to apply. Shampoo you hair as normal. towel dry and then massage the indulgence mask gently into the hair. I usually leave mine in for between 5 and 10 minutes, depending on the condition of my hair. Once you are happy it has been on long enough, throughly rinse out (I usually do this in the shower, much easier).
What I think:
It has an extremely nice smell to it, very fruity. I have always found it gives my hair amazing results, sexy, shiny and soft. With regular use of the indulgence mask I have noticed a big difference in the look and feel of my hair. It is much stronger and healthier than it was previously.
Althought the indulgence mask can be more expensive than some intensive conditioners, the results are far more superior than any I have ever used. It is worth every penny.
I have several intensive hair masks that I use regularly but what harm can it do to have one more? My boyfriend asked me what extra little pressies I?d like for my 21st (as well as the gorgeous jewellery!) so I jumped at the chance to request GHD?s ?Indulgence Treatment Mask?. INDULGENCE My guess is that the majority of you bothering to read this review will know GHD as the manufacturers of the ultimate in ceramic hair straightening tools. Well, here they are now with a funky salon-approved hair beauty mask. It comes in a rather trendy lime green triangular box with the standard GHD splashes of minimalist décor. Inside you?ll find three 30ml plastic pots of mask with ?GHD Indulgence? printed on their lids (cool!) HOW TO USE I would suggest removing the plastic cover from under the lid before you get in the shower because once your hands are wet it is near-impossible. Get in the shower with the opened pot and put it within reach but away from the water. Shampoo your hair as normal and rinse. The instructions on the box are VERY minimal ?massage GHD Indulgence mask gently and thoroughly into your hair. Leave in hair for as long as required and then rinse off with warm water.? As long as required? Well, the first time I left it on for half an hour but I?ve figured that 10 minutes does the exact same job. So you get a little scoop and smooth it over your fingertips then into your hair. Unlike other hair treatments I?ll actually put this on my whole hair rather than just the ends because this is a protein, vitamin and mineral treatment as opposed to an intensive conditioner and doesn?t weigh my hair down or make it greasy. It is simple to apply be
cause it is fairly solid in its texture (so thick that it stays in the pot if you turn it upside down). It smells like a mixture of some kind of synthetic fruits ? not at all natural but very pleasant all the same. After 10 minutes I rinse it out thoroughly, which is easy. As I rinse it out my hair always feels super slimy, which is a good sign because it means my hair is silky! RESULTS After drying my hair in the normal way my hair feels soft but it doesn?t feel AS super soft as when I use some intensive conditioners, but as this is a hair mask/treatment as opposed to just a conditioner I am happy with the results: my hair feels strong, full of body, looks shiny and feels healthy. After drying, there is a slight smell left, but not a lot. However, I?m not too concerned by this as I use other styling products which would possibly mix badly with this smell. One thing I find particularly great about this mask is that while doing all these marvellous things to my hair it doesn't weigh it down or make it greasy in the slightest. VERDICT A brilliant purchase, even if you only save it for special occasions. This cost £14.95 (inc P+P) from GHD?s website (www.ghdhair.com) and I got a free anti static comb with it which is great for gently combing out knots in the shower. There are apparently 5 applications in one pot, which I would agree with for hair my length (long). If you have shorter hair you?d probably get nearer 10 out of each pot. At its most expensive you get 15 applications which works out at £1 an go. I don?t consider that to be too expensive as I don?t use it every single week ? only when my hair is looking a bit lacklustre. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone who feels like pamperin
g their hair once in a while as it is ideal for all hair types. carly_pussycat - dooyoo UK ©
