Advantages: Doesn't flatten hair

Disadvantages: Expensive

I got this conditioner as a present with some ghd straightners and a few other ghd products...I must admit it was a Christmas present and it actually took me until last night to try the conditioner for the first time. I had been totally put off deep conditioning treatments after the last few I tried had left my long hair feeling unwashed and weighed down.
Anyway after recently starting to get my hair coloured regularly I thought I would finally try the deep conditioner which had been sat in the bathroom for months! To be honest I expected it to do the same to my hair as all the others so I was imagining having to tie my hair back today, but I thought it would be worth it to help my hair recover from all the colour treatments.

*Packaging*

The packaging for mine is slightly different to that shown on the picture here, however it is the same product. It is in a 150ml cream coloured pot with the usual gold ghd designs on the lid and sides. Once you've opened the lid there is another plastic lid over the conditioner which can be kept on all the time.

*The Product*

The conditioner looks really nice, it is a creamy gold colour and looks pearly and sparkly. I couldn't believe how soft it felt in my hands, it is really thick but feels so luxurious and soft. It worried me slightly because it is quite thick that it would leave my hair greasy but I tried it anyway.
I washed my hair first and towel dried it a bit then applied the conditioner mainly to the ends of my hair avoiding the roots. The conditioner smells really nice, it's like a fruity kind of smell which made it feel fresher on my hair.
I didn't have to use very much at all to cover my hair as it glided on really easily, covering it quickly. I think in the 150ml pot you could probably get about 6 applications on long hair, maybe around 10 on shorter hair.
When it's on the hair it actually feels quite slimy but I didn't let it put me off. The instructions didn't say how long to leave it on for so I left it about 10 minutes while I was in the shower and then rinsed it out thoroughly.

*Results*

My hair immediately felt softer than normal even when it was still wet. When I came to dry it I was pleasantly surprised that it didn't leave my hair feeling greasy at all, and it didn't look or feel weighed down. Instead it just felt softer and smelt lovely.
I think next time I will try it over my whole hair including the roots as I don't think it would have any negative effects on my hair, unlike other treatments I have used. .

*Conclusion*

I'm really glad I tried the deep conditioner and will definitely carry on using it. As it was a present I wasn't aware how much it cost which I've now found out is around £15. This is quite expensive but then I do think it would last a while as you don't have to use a lot each time and I would maybe only use it once a week. Also I think it is worth the extra cost for the fact that it doesn't leave your hair greasy.
I would recommend the product to anyone with hair that may be damaged through sun, heat styling or colouring and particularly to those with longer hair which gets weighed down easily.

Summary: Deep conditioning treatment ideal for longer hair. Leaves hair feeling smooth and nourished.

Sounds good. I've recently started colouring my hair and have GHD products that I love. I'll give this ago, although as you said, for the price maybe as a weekly treat for my hair! Nice review x
