Advantages: styles your hair in any style you like.. curly, wavey or poker straight

Disadvantages: none!

GHD hair straightners are something i really could not live without.

I have got the Limited edition IV Kiss ones and although the price is what seems redicuoulsly high at £135 they are worth every penny!

I`ve had so many hair straightners in the past, cheep ones because i didnt want to spend that amount, i am now glad i did at last splash out on these!!

They come in a box, roughly the size of a shoe box, in one side is the GHD stylers and on the side that lifts open there is a packet of 3 GHD lipglosses in a small little box which are also fabulous.
There is an instruction manual and a book containing a list of all the other products available by the GHD company. The great thing I love about GHDs is that they come with a dvd of how to create different styles!!

Although these are called hair "straightners" they are fantastic at curling your hair, it has taken me a long time to get the hang of doing this as typically the girl in the dvd makes it look so easy, and I have to say its only easy after hundreds of times practising. They create the volume look, waves and flicks, you can actually use these to create so many looks.
I will try and explain a bit of how to style your hair with GHD hair straightners although bear with me on this one as its not easy to explain without showing you let alone explaining it on here...
Whatever style you decide to have you will need to seperate you hair into sections, I find this is easier to put my hair into bunches and do half at a time. Then use grips to allow yourself a small section at a time starting from the bottom fo your head!
To straighten just simply hold the section at the bottom and glide the GHDs down your hair and do this with every section until you`ve done all your hair.. simple as that.
To curl, again seperate your hair into sections hold the section of hair at the bottom with the straightners pointing upwards, grip the hair with your GHds then as you glide down your hair twist.. still holding them upwards, this will take alot of practice unless you are naturally great at styling hair, unfortuatly i`m not one of those people lol.
To create a "summer wave" look do the same as the curling but instead of just twisting them one way, twist backwards and forwards.. it is easy to do just not so easy to explain.
These really are the best though as you can change the way your hair naturally goes, and have a side parting instead of middle and the make your hair go anyway you want it to.
Even really curly hair gets straight with these, you just need to take your time and use smaller sections.

I find GHD hair straightners great because I am one of those people always rushing around and the amount of times i`ve left my straighners on is unbelievable but GHds have a sleep mode where if they have not been used in 30 minutes the heaters turn off.

The ceramic plates of the stylers are made from aluminium and get get to the temperature of 180c.

GHDs are now more rounded than they used to be to create more looks.

They have a on/off switch on the straightners themselves which is simple to use and light that will come on with them, they with make a bleep sound when you turn them on and a light will come on. When they have heated up and are ready to use, which takes less than a minute, the light will flash and you will hear another bleep sound so you know they are ready to use.

They have a hologram on the inside of them, by the on/off switch so you know you have the genuine GHD stylers as there are so many fakes about.

There is an official website for GHD which is GHD.co.uk and this is where you can register your products to ensure you have your guarantee.

These really are something I could not live without and although you may not want to spend that amount of money, they are so worth buying.

Thanks for reading as always. kim xx

Summary: These are amazing, more pricey than other straightners but well worth it!

They look good, my nomral black ones seem like they aren't going to survive for long now, might get a pink one if they are still around.

Best not tell my three about the free lipglosses.

Sleep mode sounds good! Great review.
