Advantages: Straighten hair well, Easy to use, Get hot quickly

Disadvantages: Ceramic coated only, break easily, can damage hair

These are great at straightening my long, wavy, thick hair. But after just a year and a half they broke when the wire snapped and exposed bare wire underneath. The sparks could have caught my hair alight. Because they were out of the years warranty, I had to pay £23 to get them repaired and they were returned within four working days. I have however read many reviews of the same thing happening to others and there is a watchdog report covering large amount of complaints received on a similar issue. For £80 I would have expected them to last a lot longer. There are other products on the market that are just as good, such as the Morphy Richards Mark Hill Thermocentre Straighteners, same price, but currently half price in Boots, real bargain.
