Advantages: Straightest hair ever !!!!
Disadvantages: NONE
GHD are an absolute god send to those of us not blessed with straight hair. My hair is not naturally curly but move of a frizzy wave.
GHD are different to most other straightners in the fact they have ceramic (and not metal) plates that heat up to more than 200 degrees in just six seconds. They are a very effective straightening tool.
I first purchased GHD hair straightners more than 6 years ago when they seemed to be increasing in popularity. Since my first purchase I have used them almost daily and now could not be without them
The straightners glide smoothly through even the frizziest of hair creating a very straight and smooth finish. Despite the high intensity heat of thisproduct I have never had damaged hair after use. There are GHD products available for use before using the straightners to give added protection.
I have found my GHD's to be a very durable and long lasting that has resulted in them being good value for money.
There have been problems in the past with the quality and safety of this product (was shown on Watchdog) but I have never experienced any of the reported problems.
The straightners come in three sizes, the thin plate, standard plate and large plate. I have tried all three and it is a matter of personal prefernce as each do the same thing. The thin plates are generally used for shorter hair styles and the thick plates for longer.
I have also been advised that GHD can be used to curl your hair by wrapping hair around them as you would with curling tongs. I have never tried this but have seen curls created by this method and they are really nice.
They are quite an expensive product generally costing between £99 and £120 depening on where purchased.
Overall-
I would reccomend these straightners to anyone with not so straight hair, they are a fantastic investment
Summary: Probably the best purchase I have ever made
