I got my first pair of ghd straighteners about 6 months ago after trying numerous others in the past that were 'ok' but never seem to give you the finish you want all the time.

After switching the straighteners on you get a red light and after a couple of seconds they give a little beap to let you know they are heated up fully, which is something that i find very useful.

They glide over your hair, there is no snagging or trapping hair which is something i have experienced with other brands.

The cord is also quite long so you don't need to be sat right next to a plug for them to work.

Although these are very expensive i would say they are worth every penny. I use them daily as my hair has a mind of its own and it takes me no time at all get my hair how i want it and be ready. My style also seems to stay put throughout the day which to me is another sign of the quality of these straigteners.

Summary: Worth every penny
