As a young girl growing up I must have straightened my hair with a million different types of straighteners, I even went through a stage of using a towel and an iron to try and gain the silky smooth effect that the celebrities and models always seemed to get but never got anywhere near it. I have since used a few good types of straighteners including a very good set made by Mark Hill but nothing and I mean nothing comes close to the super excellent GHD`s.

If you were to take away my GHD`s tomorrow I would honestly be lost without them, they give me the hair I have always wanted and if you use a good straightening balm (I recommend Toni and Guy) then you don't have to be afraid of straightening every day.I use my GHD`s every day sometimes twice a day if I am going out at night and they are coming up for two years old now and still work as well as the day I bought them which at £110 is a good thing. I had used them before I bought them as a few friends had them so the price did not bother me at all because I knew what I was getting for my money.

These straighteners heat up hotter and quicker than almost any other straightener on the market and have other good features too such as their rounded edges to allow you to curl with them as well as straighten (although I never would) and they come with a sleep mode which means if you leave the straighteners plugged in and unused for half an hour they automatically turn themselves off.

I would recommend these straighteners to every girl wanting poker straight hair and I even have a male friend who has longish hair who swears by them, they come in pink too so those girly girls who have to have everything pink are catered for here!
