Advantages: It does everything
Disadvantages: A bit of an outlay, could lead to divorce
What can I say about GHD's that hasnt been said already.
Dont tell your partner how much they cost, is my first piece of advice.
Secondly make sure you send off the guarantee which comes with legit' GHD's. This will protect you against any damage to them (according to my hairdresser), if anything goes wrong with them you return them to GHD, not to your supplier.
That can be a bit of a pain, as you might have to post them back etc, and if you're anything like I am with a pair of straighteners, being without them for even a day amounts to Guatanamo for fluffy hair!
Mine take literally 5 seconds to warm up. What I also like is the little bleep it makes to tell you they're ready to be unleased on unruly hair!
With prvious straighteners I've had to leave them for 5,10 even 15 minutes to make sure they are hot enough.
GHD's literally glide over your hair, its such a smooth process, it feels like pure luxury (which for £120, I should hope so!).
You can take GHD's pretty close to the root, just be careful with your scalp!
Dont do what most do with other brands, which is clamp, hold and draw them down the hair really slowly, you do NOT need to do that wit GHD's.
I would also suggest when you get to the end of your hair, give it either a slight turn in or out, otherwise due to the extreme straightening capabilities you will end up with that perfectly dead straight end to your hair, which just makes you look so obviously GHD-ed.
Ive heard these are also great for curling hair. Ive got fairly short hair so I cant comment on that, but who knows maybe one day my hair will grow (straight) and then my gorgeous GHD's will live out their full potential.
The oscillating power lead is also fantastic, no having to pull the lead round your back, front or side etc, and the lead is also pretty long, and most self respecting women when straightening their hair are never THAT far from a mirror.
You wont need any other items apart froma hair dryer, Ive even stopped using 3 different products because GHD's are now doing it all for me!
So really when you think about it like that, £120 is pretty reasonable..... thats what I told my husband anyway!
Summary: Hide the receipt and enjoy sexy hair
