In the past, I was part of the 'GHDs are not that special' brigade, and used cheaper ceramic hair straighteners, I always insisted that they were just as good as the GHD straighteners but on trying my friends, I never looked back and was quick to purchase some of my own.

My MK3 straighteners lasted 4 years before I finally traded them in for the MK4's which are a real step up from the MK3 version. My favourite feature is that they turn themselves off if you have not used them for 30 minutes, no more turning around half way to work when you can't remember if you left them on or not! Also like the rounded barrells which mean that they are just as good if you want to curl your hair rather than straighten it.

I have sampled both worlds when it comes to ceramic straighteners, and I would never go back to using anything other than GHDs!

Summary: Fantastic!
