Advantages: Quick to heat up, makes hair smooth

Disadvantages: Easy to burn yourself, and agony when you do

My hair is naturally EXTREMELY curly, infact it is tight and frizzy ringlets. I'd tried dozens of straightners before, which left my hair puffy and feathery, rather than sleek and straight. I'm now on my 2nd pair of GHDs, and would NEVER go back to a different brand, as they are the only straightner that does anything to relax my curls.

I used to spend hours trying to straighten my hair with other brands, but with GHDs it takes about 30-40 minutes (I have long hair), which is a huge difference to me.

Although they straighten my hair out though, the style never holds, and my hair starts flicking in and out very quickly. If there is any moisture or dampness in the air, my hair goes puffy and just not nice! None of my friends have ever had this problem though, so I just think my hair type doesn't agree with anything!

I'd definately recommend them to others! Though you really need to be careful with them...I managed to shut them on my ear once for less than a second, and on my wrist another time, and it was agony! The skin peeled and it was horrible and painful for days.

Overall though, a fabulous straightner and definately worth buying!
