I have owned GHD's for about 4 years now but have not really realised how good they were until they recentley broke. While they were away getting repaired I bought a cheap set from Argos to use while I waited. I wish I hadn't bothered.

I have now realised how good these are. I bought mine from my local hairdressers for £109 and I got them in a gift box with heat protection mat attached to a bag and a heat protection spray. There was also a DVD which had styling tips as for you to try if you are adventurous (which I am not). You can curl, straighten and add volume.

I know that the prices of them have come down since I bought mine and I believe you can now buy these for approx £90.

These are the straighteners that set the standard. The rounded barrel allows for more versatility during styling. There is a sleep mode which switches them off after an hour of no use.

Things that the straighteners benefit from are:

Shiver feature (this prevents moisture from damaging the irons)

If they break during 2 years (this is GHD's standard warranty) then all you will need to do is send them to GHD where they will repair or replace them free of charge. You will need to supply them with proof of purchase but this is not always neccesary as there is a hologram on them where they can scan and this will tell them when they were sold (I know this as I sent mine away and I did not have my receipt).

These are by far the best professional straighteners I have ever used and they are well worrth the money.
