GHD straighteners must be well known to most people nowadays, even people who don't straighten their hair!

For those of you that have not heard about them GHD stands for Good Hair Day a company founded in 2001 by former hairdresser James McAllister.

Since their release GHD has been made famous for their iconic range of straighteners.

From here you can learn how to check for fake GHD's. My pair cost £109.00 but the prices vary depending on the type you purchase. From here you can also buy the styling products.

Every so often they introduce a one off design which will come at a special discount price.


~My opinion:
GHD have been the best straighteners I have ever used. I have tried several straighteners including toni & guy, wahl, babyliss and remington but I have never been so impressed with the overall product.

My hair is very thick and wavy when wet so straightening can take a while. Previously I thought my wahl straighteners were fantastic and they normally took me 30 minutes or so to perfect my style for a night out.

The GHD take under 5 minutes and my hair stays sleek and shiny throughout the night.

My boyfriend purchased the straighteners last Christmas and they came with a heat proof mat which is brilliant. For safety reasons they also have a cut of switch which kicks in after 30 minutes just in case you forget to unplug them.

Unbelievably they heat up in just a few minutes to a temperature of 210 degrees - most only heat up to 160 maximum.

Personally I have never bought them because I thought the price was expensive but they have been well worth it the price (that my fella spent) and I would definitely purchase them again.

Together with the straighteners I also received a free dvd to show me how to create different styles including perfect curls and also a sleek straighter spray.

I love my GHD's so much that I have also just bought a travel pack with a heat proof cover!

For those of you that struggle with your hair try GHD. There are lots of different style's available and the extra money spent is an investment. 10/10
