Advantages: great and straight
Disadvantages: none
It just took me an hour to write a review on this and because my computer is NOT WORKING IT JUST DELETED EVERYTHING I WROTE!!!!!!!!! I am really annoyed because now I have to write it again, computers are hell sometimes. Well anyway I was at the hairdresser the other day and I was sitting waiting to get me hair done when I saw antoher girl in front of me getting her hair done she had quite frizzy and thick hair and it's quite unusual she chose to have such a short hairstyle. It takes a lot of work with frizzy hair in a short style and I thought it would be impossible to get her hair nice. Once they blow dried it, it looked a bit better but still thick and then there was straighteners brought over on a tray. The woman doing the hair picked up the straighteners and smoothed them over the sections of hair. Once it was done OH MY GOD it was so nice I had to question myself about if her really had been frizzy at all, it was so thin and it lay so nicely it looked naturally straight when she stood up. When I was getting my hair cut I only wanted a trim and asked for these straighteners. I never wear my hair down so much because I am self conscious and worry that if the air is humid or there is wind my hair will be a mess. I have naturally wavy hair and it is quite thick sort of like Cat Deeley's but my hair goes thinner. Usually I blow dry my hair straight and then go over it with straighteners but I have had them for atleast 3 years and with so many companies bringing out new ceramic straighteners mine are not so hot. When at the hair dresser I was finished getting it cut and blow dried so then I asked if I could get the straighteners used on my hair. The red light came on and I was informed that they heat up to 210 degrees in seconds which is true. They are black and thin with orange ceramic plates from what I remember. She went over my hair sepearating it into sections and then once it was finished it was so thin, it was unbelievable
so shiny more than ever and it was really healthy looking and it was so straight it was hair I have always wanted. To get best results with these straighteners it is best to clip hair into sections and go over with the straighteners quickly. When they heat up they can burn so you have to be careful using these and it can be quite scary the heat coming from them so watch when using them When going over the hair do it a lot but go over quickly instead of leaving them on the same bit of hair for ages once it is done move onto the next section. I don't have these straighteners yet but I will have by Christmas this year, they are £90 usually but after searching the internet I found a site selling them for £85 with a free product to use. GHD also have their own products to use with the straighteners to make it shine more. These protect the hair. I would not recommend these straighteners for people with naturally straight hair looking to get it thinner because these are too powerful for naturally straight hair and would singe it. Just use normal basic straighteners to get it thin if you have straight hair. Don't use these straighteners frequently either if you have them because it will give a lot of split ends you need to give your hair a break or use the necessary products to keep it healthier but if you are suing them a lot then go to the hair salon for a trim. If you have nightmare hair you definitely need this but if you can't afford them then get HairTools ones they cost £50 and go to 190 degrees 20 degrees less, I need the full heat but these are still as good and can be bought online too. There are no straighteners better than these out at the moment and I don't thnk there will be either every hair salon has them and if you want to buy these get them at your local hairdresser. These straighteners not onlt straighten but twist and curl and if you want your hair to flip in or out this is possible too so th
ey are worth the money. They give such a healthy shine and make hair look its best. I now have more confidence and get these on my hair all of the time when getting my hair cut I can now buy a hairstyle magazine and get a more adventurous hairstyle more individual because my hair will look good with it now. I can go out even when their is dampness and it won't affect my hair too much but I wouldn't do it regularly. Straightening time will be reduced. These are easy to use and definitely the best around.

- 15/02/03 I really want these straighteners!! On Ebay they are cheaper but I've never used the site and am a little wary...
They also have a selection of ceramic straighteners on AsSennOnScreen.com, some a little cheaper than the GHD ones, worth checking out definitely....

- 15/02/03 These sound like just the things I need! I've heard quite a few good things about these but at £90 I won't be getting any soon. Maybe by the time I can afford them they'll have come down in price a bit!? Say to £20?!
