It was 2 years ago when I first stumbled upon GHD ceramics. A friend have booked us a day at a photo studio in London for her birthday, and the day before I trotted off to get my hair cut for the occasion. To cut a long and horrific story short, my hairdresser butchered me, and I ended up with a do that could only be described as a scarecut. It was far too short, and nothing I did to it would make it work.

I was dreading the photo shoot. Why did I want professional photos of me with hair that looked like road kill? I wore a hat to the studio, and when the stylist asked me to remove it I was expecting gasps of horror. Instead, he whips out the GHDs and tells me to sit still. 3 minutes later my scarecut has been transformed into a funky, glossy do fit for a hair model! (Y'see GHDs are great not only for long hair, but also for short hair as you can create some impressive flicks and straight bits.)

I was speechless. Once I had regained myself I asked for the GHD box and made a note of the telephone number. I spent the afternoon posing for the camera, feeling very confident. The second I got home I called GHD and my beloved ceramics were dispatched the next day.

I have been using them for 2 years. The best thing about GHDs is now I can go into my new hairdressers (Toni and Guy) and can get the most unusual, funky hair cuts done, and know that when I come to wash my hair I will be able to style it as they do in the salon. Bad hair days really are a thing of the past. My advise would be to any prospective buyer, don't bother with the cheaper options, they really don't compare. Spend a little bit more and you will be glad you did.

Only problem I have had with the ceramics was brushing them against my ear lobe. Do it once and you won't do it again I can assure you!!! Also, I keep having to retrieve them from my house mate's room!!
