I have always used GHDs and they are brilliant. I had the Mk 3 but sold them so i could get these Mk4 in hot pink, my favourite colour! They have a shiver mode which is where if the room goes below 5 degrees it switches off to prevent damage. It turns off in 30 minutes which i think is brilliant as i am very forgetful. It has a barrel on the top so ... Read the complete review

I got my first pair of ghd straighteners about 6 months ago after trying numerous others in the past that were 'ok' but never seem to give you the finish you want all the time. After switching the straighteners on you get a red light and after a couple of seconds they give a little beap to let you know they are heated up fully, which is ... Read the complete review

GHD Mk 4 Hair straighteners are by far the best available on the market. In the past I have tried other brands including Babyliss and Philips but nothing comes close to the salon finish that GHD gives. I have owned several sets of these straighteners all of which have done the job of straightening my long hair brilliantly. However, the first pair ... Read the complete review

GHD are an absolute god send to those of us not blessed with straight hair. My hair is not naturally curly but move of a frizzy wave. GHD are different to most other straightners in the fact they have ceramic (and not metal) plates that heat up to more than 200 degrees in just six seconds. They are a very effective straightening ... Read the complete review

Yes, I am one of those people, who have a daily routine. Everyday of the week, rain or shine, weekday or weekend, plans or no plans, I wake up, and plug in my precious GHDs. This routine has been going on for, at least, 2 years. I have natural wavy hair, and to get to the point, it makes me look ugly. Ghds are for people who cant get ... Read the complete review

These are the best straightners I have ever owned! For years I have battled with my curly, matted hair and have used a variety of different products to try and tame it. I did think about getting them for a while as they are faily expensive, mine cost £119 but it was well worth the investment. They also come highly recommended by just about every ... Expensive, yes; worth it, maybe. GHD ceramics are unique in the fact that they reach very high temperatures, and the plates heat evenly to maintain a good quality iron effect. The price is incredible, even for a branded product. At almost £100 online, the mark-up in salons for this product can add almost an extra twenty ... Read the complete review

I would definitely be lost without my precious GHD's...it may sound silly to GHD Virgins but seriously, once you have tried them there is no going back! They might seem a little pricey to some, and I suppose they are, considering they are around the £100 mark! But they are SO worth the money...I have ridiculously curly hair which is a ... Absolutely could not live without these! They are on the more expensive side as generally they cost up to one hundred pounds especially considering you can get other sets (not GHD) for around £15. But GHD are the ones. I have purchased other brands but they are not as good as these!! I don't have particularly curly hair but these are a ... Read the complete review

What a disasterous time I've had with GHD hair straighteners!!! I was bought them 4 yrs ago as a Xmas present. It was my sister that introduced me to them, she had bought some about 6 months earlier and I just had to have some!!! I bought my GHDs online at HQ hair outlet for £92.50 (including postage) and they arrived within 2 days. So far I am very impressed and from a person who over the years has tried brands from JMB (total rubbish to SHE (almost comparable to Ghds but not quite) I would never have guessed that these would have been as good as they are I ... The GHD is great at first, but they make your hair brittle and eventually it breaks , notice after a while you get flyaways at the crown & you get that horrible burning smell of your hair frying!! GHDs are a lifesaver as far as I'm concerned. I've had my pair since ceramics straighteners first came into the market, around 2001. I think I paid £90 but I do remember getting a trade discount because my best friends dad owns a salon. I have been using flat irons before that and they weren't ceramic. They were awful. My hair is not straight at all - it is naturally quite curly, even with blow drying it is fly away and wavy. For years I have struggled with cheaper straighteners, that always left that wave in my hair, and it was never completely straightener, and it never stayed as I had styled it. Then a friend of mine recommended I visit ... Read the complete review
