As I am new to dooyoo, and this is my first review, I really wanted to make it a good'un. That's why I'm reviewing GHD Straighteners. They are, in every sense, perfect. I wouldn't say I've got a particularly bad head of hair. Whenever I go to the hairdresser's they can't seem to get enough of it: "Ooh ... Read the complete review

It was 2 years ago when I first stumbled upon GHD ceramics. A friend have booked us a day at a photo studio in London for her birthday, and the day before I trotted off to get my hair cut for the occasion. To cut a long and horrific story short, my hairdresser butchered me, and I ended up with a do that could only be described as a scarecut. It ... Read the complete review

I admit it. I have just spent £94 on a pair of GHD Professional Ceramic Hair Straighteners. Now I'm not proud of spending that amount of money on a beauty product but stay with me, read this and you'll be hooked. I have nightmare hair. Until I was about 16 it was poker straight hair. I could wash it and leave it to dry and it ... Read the complete review

'Would you like to pay half and I pay half?' asked my mum. ooooohh!! 'yes please!' (I'm afraid I'm one of those people who refuses to settle for second best if I can afford the best). I ordered mine (£99 from the GHD website). I was so excited when they arrived, ... Read the complete review

Due to my hair being thick, bushy, frizzy and coarse, despite its? long length, I have never really been able to style it and keep it looking nice as immediately I step outside and the wind takes hold of it I soon look like I?ve been dragged through a hedge backwards. I?d heard about hair straighteners and knew that the most popular make ... Read the complete review

hi i have shoulder length wavy hair - because i have been tinting it blonde for several years, the hairdressers would not even dream of straightening it professionally - so i forked out £95 for the ghd straighteners. now lets get one thing straight - my hair does what it wants - normally! I have naturally wavy hair and after having a new style at the hairdressers I had to purchase straighteners as the "do" wouldn't do without them! At the time, and because I knew no better, I purchased the ones that the hairdressers were selling. These were Wahl Pro-Slim and they were only about £40 - they aren't ceramic but ... What can i say that hasn't already been said? The GHD are a complete godsend to those of us who were not blessed with manageable hair, instead cursed with a thick mass of frizz that tormented us in our teen years. I was one of those who always had her hair tied back, never daring to remove the hair band, and panicking when I realised ... Read the complete review

These straighteners are wonderful! I have to admit that I don't have curly hair. My hair is pretty straight, but these irons make them poker straight within about 5 mins, without the use of any sprays. They can become quite hot and are very expensive (apart from the bigger version of this (wider plates) I have not seen a more expensive ... Read the complete review

My hair is super curly and I have spent years and so much money on products and styling appliances trying to straighten it, with no success. I heard about GHD straightening irons in February, and although they were expensive ? around £90, I decided to fork out for them. The first time I used them I was amazed. They transformed my corkscrew curls ... Read the complete review

I first had the pleasure of using ghd straighters when my sister(hairdresser) got them new in her salon. They gave such a good affect and left my hair feeling perfectly sleak. It stayed straight untill i washed it. My hair is straight already, but the straighters left not one hair out of place. They are the best around and anyone who has used ... Read the complete review

Well I'm a bit of a 'beauty' buff. I spend most of my time (and money..) on buying these new 'miracle' products. After having my hair cut and styled by the wonderful Phil Gallager of Clipso he blew my hair straight with a hairdryer. It looked fab. But then when i was at the races it rained and then was wavy in all the ... Read the complete review

Ghd straightners were great when they came out, they do work and yes they give the opinion that they dont damage your hair. But recently i watched a program and people are reporting GHD straightners are blowing up. And they are burning your hair in the process. A little background: My hair is thick, curly and frizzy, the only time i wear my hair curly is the 2 weeks a year when i am abroad. For the rest of the year, i battled day in and day out to prevent myself from looking like a poodle - i would buy shampoos and conditioners to reduce frizz, i'd buy blow dry creams to prevent frizz, i'd blow ... I was really excited that i was finally getting these irons, but was some what dissapointed, the left my hair totally straight but also knotted and sticky.
