i first found out about ghd at the hairdressers when she straightened my hair with them, and ever since that moment i wanted a set. my hair is usually frizzy and wild, but to my astonoshment it was smooth and sleek. this result lasted for at least 3 days. i persuaded my boyfriend to buy me a set of straighteners and ever since my hair has looked ... Firstly, I want to say that GHD straighteners ARE the best straighteners out on the market. They transform my hair when I use them - from a frizzy mess to the straightest hair i could ever wish for!!! BUT!!! after using them (regularly) for six months, I noticed a weakening of my hair and it has become very brittle and dry. The hair breaks off ... Read the complete review

My boyfriend was so sick of me refusing to go out because my hair was such a mess that his mission was to find a cure for me. After all his research and questioning many straight haired, shiny minxes on how they managed to keep their hair so enviably sleek, he discovered GHD?s. Great, they only had to be like the most expensive ones on the ... Read the complete review

I am a very hair conscious person. I always get my hair coloured, which can’t really be doing the condition of it any favours. Anyway just recently I got my hair cut very short, it looked great and I loved it. But that’s when the disaster came in. I washed it for the first time since the hairdressers and by the time I had finished ... Read the complete review

Just a quick note to all of you out there wondering whether £90 spent on hair straighteners can ever be worth it?! In the words of sally (from when Harry met Sally) "Yes, YES, oh god, yes!" Just spend the money! I was in the same position just weeks ago, when I went to the hairdressers and experienced ghd for the ... Read the complete review

Explosion!! - Advantages: Good results (short term) - Disadvantages: a large batch of them are fitted with wrong fuse and blow up!, they do eventually ruin your hair (split, dryed out ends), on my hair anyway the results do not last for long, at the end of the day its kinked again

i bought my ghds at christmas and have had them for three to four months and i love them. i use them every day. My first encounter with a pair of GHD's was about a year ago. I was at one of my friends houses and we were getting ready to go out. I have very frizzy, wavy hair so she suggested i straighten it. I told her it would be a waste of time as i already had the babyliss shot of steam straighteners and they didn't work. This is when she told me ... Read the complete review

GHD, I never wear my hair down at any time no matter what! As it's frizzy thick and a real hassel to manage. My Auntie has three kids that have afro caribean hair and have to put chemical relaxers on their hair or simply plat it all of the time. so when i saw the magnificent turnaround in there hair it was amazing and ... My hair has always been frizzy, spent practically my life in salons getting colour after colour and always using the wrong products for my hair. I was seriously getting angry! I've always known about the GHD's (Good Hair Day) but never actually considered buying them until my friend recently used them on my hair. The good thing I ... Read the complete review

Hair straighteners - what a marvellous invention, provided you purchase the right ones of course. I've had a set of Babyliss straighteners for a couple of years now but they're a bit on the bulky side and were looking a little worse for wear, so a replacement set was in order. Christmas brought me my fair share of dodgy presents, which ... Read the complete review

If after years of struggling with different hair straighteners, lotions and potions you still havnt found a solution, then these may just be the miracle youve been waiting for. ~Background~ I have fairly long thick wavy hair, which with 'wella shockwaves curl defining cream' forms high-maintenance but pretty curls ... When I had two friends ova the other day, they both brought with them their GHD ceramic irons. I have short, wavy hair but it is majorly hard to straighten (my babyliss ones last about 30mins). They didnt look like much and I was surprised at how quickly they warmed up, in about 6 seconds, compared to the 45mins my babyliss cheapos take. I ... Read the complete review

I got given the GHD ceramic straightners as a present from my boyfriend for christmas. They were what i'd always wanted because i have really thick curly hair and no other straightners would allow me to wear my hair down 'curl free'. My hairdresser always seemed to put me off them telling me that 50% of these straightners had ... Read the complete review

I have allways hated my hair- its not curly and its not straight. I never wore it down because it stuck out in all directions and generally looked like i'd just got out o bed! You may ask, how can something so small do such a fantastic job? Good question. Because i'm still trying to work that one out. These straightners are a lifeline! Even though they are very expensive they are very much worth every penny of it. I used to own the vidal sasson straightners, which i must say did do the job very well. But when my ...
